This product is an absolute must have! I never have the luxury of an assistant and trying to battle wind and weather with a big soft box is a show stopper. Whether you are in a "run and gun" scenario or just looking for great controlled OCF, the XL kit will have you covered. I have been using it with my AD400 and it's absolutely perfect. I get incredible results and couldn't live without this kit.

When I first received the mag sphere 2. I thought it might be too big for every day use. Boy was I wrong. I absolutely love this thing. I take it on every single shoot now. It definitely has me in the market to upgrade all of my previous gear to the new versions. I love it.

I dont think so. I am a fitness photographer and usually travel with 3 giant Octs. But for my last trip, I only brought 2 Reflector XLs w the sphere. Oh my! They worked out so great, and with a fraction of the space. I'm IN. Transitioning all of my modifiers to MagMod

Very convenient, portable, and well-made gear. The light from the dome is not soft enough to be a main portrait light (in my opinion), but I pair it with the grid and use it as a hair light or use it for off-camera flash during mitzvah/wedding receptions. If it's windy and I don't have an assistant, it will work as a slightly harsh outdoor portrait light.

When first attempting to put the reflector in the bowens mount none of the prongs fit(they were too big). I had to shave off plastic with a pocket knife and still had trouble getting it to fit and then come off later. I used a dremel to make it work how it should when I got home. Overall the product worked like a charm, I do wedding and engagement photos and the wind would always blew the light over and this fixed that problem and looks great. It was just pretty inconvenient to have to shave the bowens prongs down to fit. I have a neewer Q4 flash strobe

I love that Magmod takes what they learned from their smaller and OG products and improves on them and makes them for larger lighting. This kit did exactly what I needed it to do, and it's extremely durable, and will take the day to day abuse that comes from being a photographer.

I had been MacGyvering with cine foil to make conical flags to use my GT-200s to just light my backdrop and was using my old V1 MagRings. Bought 2 of these and ditched the MagRing and use with an old Godox S2 bowens mount ring. Voila! Good times were had by all.

I do quite a bit of on location work with a portable strobe. I purchased this kit in an effort to make moving my light around, especially on windy days, an easier experience. It did exactly what I needed. It provides a great soft light and doesn't catch the wind like the previous soft box I was using. I high recommend it.

This is an authentic product that makes my photography easier to achieve. The XL has replaced my bigger softboxes and have given me less stress in windy situations. I've only used it a couple times. However, I've always been in search of a somewhat "wind resistant" solution for outdoor portraits. Everything feels well made and pretty much super simple to use. Just snap them together.

The XL strobe kit is so much more convenient than carrying around all of the softbox equipment. It fits perfectly in my new Westcott backpack with my strobes and speedlights.

We shoot often in steady wind up here in the Midwest. Umbrellas are great until they are kites. These allow me to create and paint with the light without the worry of lights falling over and breaking.
