Moment Tele 58mm Lens

For those of us who have enough with the base model iPhone (the one without the telephoto), this lens is essential. When attached over the main camera, you get the extra zoom without losing the quality of the original camera I also like it a lot for portraits, where it gets a much more natural bokeh than the software-based method of the iPhone, specially in low light conditions.

I have an iPhone 17 Pro with Moment 17 Pro case. This lens would not focus sharply. I tried the new and old Moment camera app. Neither one could focus sharply. I also noticed a large amount of lens flare and poor contrast with this lens. I returned the lens. On the other hand, the native iPhone camera can focus sharply and I will just use that. In addition, the "free shipping" was horrendous. It took 3 wks to receive this "in stock" item. I live 20 miles from the warehouse it was shipped from. USPS sent it across the country to a "consolidation center" in Chicago before it finally came back here to California for delivery.

I love this lens. It's has taken my IPhone photos a few notches up. I used it on a recent vacation and was very pleased with the results. I no longer have to lug around my dSLR to get good photos.

Nice balance between 1x and 4/5x on iPhone and avoids sensor cropping. It won't "stack" well on the iPhone 17's new 4/8x telephoto but it's fantastic on the main camera and strikes a nice balance when the built in is just a tad too much.

I love every Moment mobile lens. The Tele 58mm has been very useful for shooting highlight tape videos for a high school football team I've been working with. I can't wait to play around with this lens when I get an opportunity for more filmmaking.

I use the Tele 58mm Mobile Lens everywhere. Its small and easy to attach on the phone. I really like the nice bokeh and the fact that it actually gives 4x zoom with the Iphone 16 2x zoom on the main camera. It feels solid and reliable.

There's almost no visible difference between this lens' and the iPhone17Pro X2 lens' picture quality. On top of that, if you attach this lens to the iPhone17Pro's X4 lens, the focus is soft and not particularly useful. This lens was amazing for the iPhone14s-16s; it is now obsolete for the iPhone17s.

I love how the lens keeps images accurate to how the subject is in person. Without the lens the subject is distorted at certain focal points or angles. I appreciate Moment for making such high quality products. Excellent for outdoor portrait shoots!

I received my lens just before my train tour of Alaska. The 58mm Tele lens has been amazing! On a float through a glacier lake, I was able to effectively shoot longer shots with detail that would have been lost if I didn't have this lens?and there are many other examples of the usefulness of this lens that I could provide. The camera case/mounting device worked well, and over the trip I have mounted and removed the lens many times without any problems. Lastly, it is a GREAT conversation starter with people wanting to know more about the thing I have hanging on my phone. I'm very happy with the lens/App system I bought! Ps: I also recommend an Alaska train tour!

This review is for the Moment 58mm T-Series Telephoto Lens, used with a Google Pixel 9 Pro. I can't speak to its performance on iPhones or Samsung phones, but my experience with the Pixel 9 Pro was disappointing. Image Sharpness: I found that photos taken with the lens were noticeably softer than those captured using the phone's built-in 2x digital zoom. This loss of sharpness was consistent from the center to the edges of the frame. Bokeh: The background blur, or bokeh, was not pleasing. It had a 'double vision' effect that was distracting and didn't create a smooth, appealing blur.

This lens is promoted on the Moment website and YouTube video as able to be used on iPhone16 ProMax camera tele lens. But this is not the case, I discovered after purchased in. The support team at Moment pulled up a very buried disclaimer to explain why I couldn't get it to work. Moment should focus more on customer expectations than sales.
