I've used the Moab Desert Varnish on digital prints for the past 2 years. Love it! Even on Glossy papers, the gloss remains after applying it to provide an extra layer of protection from scratches. It is clear. You can feel a slight difference in the feel of the surface after applying. But, again, the level of gloss is not impaired by using this spray. Roger from rXv Images, LLC.

Works like a charm. Need a well ventilated area, but prints are essentially odorless after about an hour. Takes 2 coats to get a nice smooth finish, but prints hold up much better.

I use it on all my prints now. It is expensive, and apparently you pay a premium because it is a hazard to ship. But it has protected my prints which I put on foamboard or frame and I have seen these prints after years of hanging and they still look great. It is 100% invisible, but I once sprayed too much on a fresh print and the deep black area was blemished. My bad - I way over sprayed and the print may not have been dry. It has never done that since.

When its a photo worth protecting then its time for Desert Varnish if your like me and you prefer doing things yourself this is a product you will love it has UV protection, it has the ability to keep photos from being permanently damaged by finger prints, scratches, prevents photo from sticking to portfolio pages while being stored. It also protects against humidity (moisture) which can wreak havoc on any artwork especially photos! The folks at Adorama have Your back when it comes to photography. even the shipping was timely. I put this product to the test by accidently spilling a glass of water over part of a very valuable print. I could not believe that it worked so well. I will now only use this product and I coat both sides of each print twice. You never know when an accident is going to happen and this product works exactly as stated with absolutely no bubbling or running. It is miraculous!

Nice product. I have used more expensive brands and it does the same as those but at a cheaper cost. Definitely will purchase this again. I will add that it does a pretty good job but it still will scratch very easily.

Use it on fine art matte prints from Epson K-3 Inks. No noticeable change to prints which is exactly as other's have sadi about it. Need to use in very well ventilated place.

It seems to be very good coating spray and it does not affect anything on texture or color. You should use it with a P95~P100 respirator mask.

Spray lacquer is available from several vendors and while I won't say any is much better I can say this Moab is great. Check for 2 for deals around. I print ink jet fine art heavy paper and use this 3 coats with each going horizontal and vertical times 3. It's really all you need for most applications. Mount and frame! Cool part is when you are done only you know it's there. It is totally 100% invisible. There is nothing you can see.

Excellent protectant-lays down well on mat papers and semi gloss baryta paper surfaces surprising well. Was very surprised how well it laid down on the baryta surface with no degradation to quality but rather minimized gloss differential to nothing basically. Initially it can look like you're overdoing it when you first spray it on. Once it dries it looks awesome. Very impressed.

I would not allow any piece of work that I do out the door with out first applying a minimum of 2 coats. The protective coating has a substantial long term effect on the durability of the inks/ pigments used in regard to moisture, UV and corrosive gasses. I want my works to out live me.

Seem to offer good protection. 1 can covered 12 prints on textured cotton paper approx. 25" x 20". The product softens and expands the paper when applied, then hardens and shrinks back as it cures. Use on prints that are flattened and unmounted.

This works very well with a crystal clear coat and no lap marks. Beats Golden or any other spray-on coating that I know of. I do not know about longevity, though.
