The Trioplan - already a classic
The original Trioplan was created by Hugo Meyer in 1916. It was based on the Cooke-Triplet, designed by Harold Dennis Taylor in 1893.
The Trioplan was one of the first popular lens designs to allow a relatively high optical correction, an extraordinarily sharp center and a high maximum aperture. The Trioplan demonstrates its famous soap bubble bokeh when used wide open, especially when exposed to backlight or when capturing background reflections.
The new macro front lens has revolutionized the Trioplan 50 and makes it Meyer-Optik-G"rlitz's most versatile lens
Instead of simply adopting the old design, we have consistently developed the Trioplan f2.9/50mm by adding features such as a special macro function.
Designed as a movable front lens, this function allows you to considerably reduce the distance between the lens and the object being photographed, enabling you to capture macro photographs up to a scale of 1:4.
Made far more efficient by modern production techniques and coatings, these redesigned lenses also ensure high image quality and thus sharp photos.
