Movcam, in close collaboration with the RED community, has crafted this kit to meet the high demands of professional cinematographers, focusing on practical utility, sleek design, and seamless integration with RED's high-performance cameras.The centerpiece of the DSMC2 Studio Kit is the innovative Multi-Function Top Plate, which is designed to enhance your camera's functionality while maintaining a streamlined profile. This top plate is equipped with a variety of connection points, including:- Dual HDSDI Outputs: These are activated when used in conjunction with the Movcam Hot Swap Adaptor, providing reliable video output for monitoring or recording.- Dual Aux Power Outputs: Featuring 2-pin Lemo connectors, these outputs require either the RED I/O Expander or the Movcam Hot Swap Adaptor to deliver power to your essential accessories.- HDMI Output: This allows for simultaneous operation with the top pogo EVF port, ensuring flexible video output options.- Start/Stop Control: A 3-pin Fischer connector enables remote camera operation, although the OEM RED Trigger Handle is necessary for full functionality.- EVF/LCD Monitor Support: The plate includes Touch A for pogo pin-mounted monitors and Touch B for legacy viewfinder cable input, with a toggle switch to select between the two.- Additional Lemo Adaptor: By utilizing this adaptor, you can operate both a top-mounted monitor and a Lemo-connected viewfinder simultaneously.The Multi-Function Top Plate also features a stock fan opening, numerous 1/4" 20 threads for mounting accessories, and is compatible with both the Movcam Top Handle and the stock top handle, offering versatility in rig setup.Another key component is the Movcam Hot Swap Adaptor, which is a game-changer for on-set efficiency.
