Magenta Research Infinea DVI-SAP Video Transmitter, 1080p/Up to 1600x1200, Over UTP:Up to 600'/MMF:Up to 1640'/SMF:Up to 6.2mi Transmission Distance

The Magenta Research Infinea DVI-SAP Video Transmitter supports extension of DVI video, stereo audio and addressable duplex serial. It is used to extend 1600 x 1200 resolution DVI video over UTP cables up to a distance of 600' (183m). It can also be used with optional multi-mode and single-mode fiber optic modules to increase its range up to 1640' (500m) and 6.2 mi (10km), respectively. The Infinea Video Transmitter supports a local DVI port that can be used either for a local display or for cascading the output to additional transmitters for point to multi-point distribution.

The addressable duplex serial capability enables independent control over each display device in a point to multi-point or multi-point distribution network. Each display device can be switched on or off and the settings of the display (e.g. brightness, contrast) can be programmed and updated remotely. The return path available with the bidirectional duplex capability can be used to check the settings and health status of each display or to receive data from interactive devices such as touch panels.
