Under the banner of Magenta Research's innovative technology, the Mondo III 8U 32x32 Full-Matrix UTP Switch emerges as a cutting-edge solution for professional audio and video applications. This advanced switching platform is engineered to seamlessly switch and extend high-definition video, stereo audio, and addressable duplex serial signals, all within a single, robust system.
Crafted with durability and high-quality performance in mind, the Mondo III builds upon the incredible success of its predecessor, the Mondo Matrix II, by introducing optional addressable duplex capabilities alongside a suite of redundancy and performance enhancements. The addition of addressable duplex serial functionality is particularly beneficial for digital signage applications, enabling the collection of individual display data and metrics while maintaining independent control over each display.
The Mondo III is not only reliable but also designed for ease of use and configuration. It supports a user-friendly interface and is compatible with a wide range of networking protocols. The switch can be programmed and controlled via the onboard touch-screen, Windows HyperTerminal, Magenta's Mondo Matrix Control Software, or through third-party control systems such as AMX or Crestron.
This innovative switch is future-proof, allowing for the addition of inputs and outputs in increments of 16, supporting a maximum configuration of 256x512. Its compatibility with all MultiView products enables the extension of 1920x1200 resolution video, stereo audio, and serial signals over an impressive distance of up to 2000ft/609m.
The Mondo III also introduces the Mondo Direct option, which allows for the integration of video inputs directly into the switch, eliminating the need for separate MultiView transmitters. This feature, along with the switch's full compatibility with the previous Mondo Matrix, offers a host of upgrades and additional features at no extra cost.
Operators will appreciate the new front-panel indicator lights for a quick status check on the unit's power supplies, fans, filter, and temperature. The addition of a replaceable air filter, two DB9 serial connections, true redundant power supplies, and a new backlit 2x16 character LCD further aid in configuration and diagnostics.
The Mondo III UTP switching platform stands out by delivering significant functional advantages, cost savings, reduced power consumption, and simplified installation compared to traditional BNC-based RGB switches. When combined with Magenta's MultiView-SAP transmitters and receivers, the Mondo III reduces extension equipment requirements by 50% and ensures the extension of HD-quality video, stereo audio, and addressable duplex serial signals over an unmatched range.
Investing in the Mondo III means investing in a scalable, modulator platform that not only meets today's needs but also ensures cost-effective upgradability for the future. With its ability to scale from 16x16 to an impressive 256x512 switching capacity, the Mondo III is the epitome of a smart, long-term investment for any large-scale networking setup requiring a durable, high-quality, and advanced full-matrix UTP switch.
