I've been using the original MicroSync wireless transmitter/receivers since 2003 in both studio & location shoots. They've never failed, even once. I bought this Kit recently at an even more special price from Adorama. This generation is compatible with previous versions and it fit right in with my existing modules. Size and range are my two favorite qualities of these units.

I work as a fashion photographer. I use this product at least a few times a week in my personal studio. I never have any problems with it. It works just great for what I need.

I bought the microsyncVM2TR a few week back after having used the original microsync and losing it somehow The original fired the flash every time, the new VM2TR misfires almost as bad as a used sync cord. The 16 channel do not work at all it will only function on channel 1, the manual is extremely weak and the tranmitter looks rather cheaply built compared to the original unit My advice is to save up a few more dollars and buy one of the more expensive better units. Or see if you can finf the original microsync new or used I really wish I had not misplaced mine

The MicroSync II VM2TR Wireless Transmitter/Receiver Kit is a super lightweight system with a tiny form factor which can easily be your solution to a tangle of PC cords in the studio or on location. The kit includes both a transmitter and receiver capable of firing your strobe from distance of 200'. Just slip the tiny transmitter on your camera and plug the receiver into your flash with one of the 4 provided plug adapters. Select a channel (there are 16) and you're ready to shoot. Forget about on/off switches; there aren't any.
This smart system goes on instantly the second you hit the shutter release and automatically shuts down when not in use, dramatically extending battery life. The system, which operates on 433MHz, has a maximum focal plane flash sync of 1/200 sec (depending on the camera in use) and a maximum leaf shutter sync speed of 1/350 sec. Besides flash, the MicroSync II can also fire most DSLR cameras which have an electronic shutter release input. Just add the optional, dedicated camera cord. It's great for wildlife or surveillance.
