great messenger

great messenger for all your stuff and a few more items. no problem carry all my gear plus a change of shirt if needed. had trouble finding messenger that would stay standing as the laptop seemed to make them flop over. plenty of pockets. would have been five stars if in came in different color ways.

Best Shoulder Bag

Able to carry my gear without the bull was a never ending search. Until I came across this should bag. I was able to fit my Fuji XT4, XT3, XH1, 23mm, 90mm, 16-55mm, 50-140mm, 15in MBP, batteries, SD card case, tripod, filters and cleaning kit. Love this bag!

Great bag all around—

Overall this is a great bag. Plenty of space and well constructed. Holds my Nikon D750 with 24-70 and 70-200 with room to spare. However it’s needs these 3 critical additions that were missed on this version: Rubber feet to keep it just off the ground. Velcro on main flap Shoulder strap is entirely inadequate. After an hour or so of use it just digs into your shoulder and discomfort lasts all day. Why so small? This makes the bag kind of useless as an all day city or light hiking bag. Please offer a replacement!!

Fantastic bag for all cameras!

Bought this bag for my Nikon D850. It holds my D850 with 24-120, 16-35mm and 70-200mm PLUS all my need extras. It also can easily change around for my Z6 for movie mode. I am a “Think Tank” believer.

Protective Shoulder Bag

This bag replaced an older, smaller bag. It is somewhat deeper vertically - internally - than it looks. I carry a Nikon full frame, 300mm PF, 24mm and 50 or 85..plus a speed light. I could get another couple of smaller lenses in there if I wanted to carry them. A lot of people work with an 80-200 or 80-400 and this bag will accommodate either of those lenses. A shoulder bag has to blend protecting your gear with appearing unobtrusive and being comfortable - not announcing that you are on the scene with a bunch of shooting gear. The Exposure 15 is clearly a gear bag - not a messenger bag or a briefcase - but it is extremely protective, weather resistant and functional. When I fly i put most of my gear in a bigger Think Tank and pack the shoulder bag full of underwear and toiletries and stow it in a suitcase that I check. When I land and start to walk around I trensfer what I eed to the souder bag

Great bag, built well, tons of space!

I received the Exposure 15 (Solar Flare) a few weeks back, and I really like the bag. The construction is durable, and it holds a ton of gear. I was able to put a substantial amount of gear (Canon 5d MKIII w/ 70-200mm attached, 17-40mm, flash, battery grip, Tiffen filter set, BlackRapid strap, 3 Mindshift SD/CF card holders, 15' Tether cable, wireless trigger, Mefoto tripod, plus a 13" laptop and cables.) Great bag for those weekend shoots, or when you don't want to take a wheeled bag. It's reasonably priced and won't hinder or limit your ability to get outside and shoot, especially when the elements of Mother Nature change. I will definitely be using this as my go to bag. Well done Mindshift!

Perfect for my setup...

So, I have a lot of Nikon camera gear. The bag I have been using is the MindShift Backlight 36 liter in charcoal. Love that bag! But with my D500, D750 (both gripped), 200 - 500 Nikon lens, 105 micro, 12-24, 14 2.8, 24-85, SB-800, SU-800, and lots of other "must have along" items, my Backlight just got too heavy for day to day shooting. So, enter the Exposure 15 in Charcoal. I am able to carry a D500 (gripped), with my 200-500, 105 micro, 24-85 and 18-55 kit lens very comfortably. Yes, if you forgo carrying a laptop or tablet, you can fit a gripped pro body and long lens in this bag. The main strap and attachment straps are of very high quality and easy to configure on the bag. Access to the camera and lenses is easy yet all the gear is very secure when carrying. If you need to simplify and lighten your camera load, this is the bag for you... just sayin'.

Pretty Good, a few mistakes

Well, it's big, well made, has a reasonable set of features. I imagine some will be put off by the two prong front flap closure (no velcro). The bellows compartment under the flap closes with a truly annoying hook, a real pain to use with one hand. A useful water bottle exterior pocket is nice. The bag is probably rainproof in a drizzle. The little hooded extensions on the side of the top flap are a nice plus for excluding water, but my bag arrived with one of them folded under, inside the bag rather than overlapping it and it was disappointing to have to get out a hair dryer to try to warm it enough to uncrease and revert original shape. Welcome to your new bag. My only real complaint is the shoulder strap. The manufacturer went to some length for a solid attachment to the bag and nice adjustment buckles, but why such a narrow strap on such a big bag escapes me. Putting nice cushy padding on a 1.5" wide strap seems like putting lipstick on a pig.

Good but could be better

Bought this to replace an aging Think Tank Retrospective LC3. Frankly, I think the Mindshift will end up in the closet and the old bag will continue daily use. The new bag has some really good points: bigger (yeah!), waterproof (biggest selling point), lots of pockets (awesome), 15" MacBook Pro fits nicely although I probably will never have that in a lens changing bag because it's too heavy, water bottle holder, cross body stabilizer strap (really nice!), luggage handle pass-thru, quick change strap length adjust, tripod straps, etc.. But, the shoulder strap is about 1/2 as cushioned as the old model (ouch, really unpleasant when this is full of pro glass), the rubber-ish "weather wings" along the top sides buckle under the strap and stop being useful, and the big drawback is no Velcro flap fastener. When you are running and gunning using this as a lens changing bag, the flap buckle is a pain: so much better to have the on-off Velcro system on the old model. This is well made pro gear but it needs a friendlier version 2.0. Also, version 2.0 would benefit from 4 rubber feet to keep the bag up off the ground a little.
