What a fantastic laptop ??
Unfortunately within 4 days of owning it the screen malfunctioned and I had to get it replaced. Adorama was very fast in accepting my return and replacement and sent me a prepaid packing slip and return information. Hopefully the new laptop will not have anything wrong with the screen. 
I was using it to edit 4k video in DaVinci resolve and was working really well until the lights dimmed on part of the screen ??

Great laptop unfortunately screen glitched after a few days

I ended up paying about $1000 more than I intended to, so it really is the case that you get what you pay for. It is everything I hoped it would be, although I still kinda wish I had spent even more to get double the RAM and double the SSD space. You could argue that any laptop brand is pretty much the same since they basically have the same components inside, but the casing and keyboard etc are areas where they could compromise quality to compete on price. With this MSI laptop the price was about the best I could find for this spec, but there does not seem to be any compromise on quality. I really like the keyboard, somewhat better than my older HP. And the touchpad corner buttons seem to work better than the older HP too.
