Great buy. Is exactly what we were looking for. It didn't come loaded down with a bunch of useless extra programs like the pc's in other big box stores. ADORAMA IS A FANTASTIC STORE AS WELL!!!!

The laptop came partitioned into 2 drives and you have to install OS again which is a pain and adorama did nothing but the computer itself is amazing. I own the Acer Predator Helios 300 as well just as a disclosure which is amazing with its quirks like keys that fall off and loud and hot. This laptop is light, thin, and slick looking. It looks like you have a gaming laptop but also not like a freaking alien is coming out of it. The black and red (shivers) looks soo god. The keyboard is quality and I love the way it feels when typing. This thing is really fast with SSD and the i5 and I have the gtx 1050 version which still holds its own no issue. The thin bezel looks great I just wished it was more colorful.

Most games will play well at medium settings. Don't expect your newest games to play well on the highest settings. Would make an excellent business laptop.Pros:1)Fast boot up.2)Dedicated graphics card (although low end).3) Comes with 256gb SSD Drive.4) Light weight.5) Good battery life.Cons:1) Windows 10 Home Version (was able to upgrade to pro free with old windows 8 key)2) Only 8gb ram (can be upgraded to 32gb, but I can't find information to what is included in the newbuild i.e. is there two 4gb sticks include or one 8gb so we can upgrade).3) Takes time to get accustomed to keyboard layout (no numeric keypad)

We are not gamers, but wanted a laptop that we could use a lot, and that would last for more than just 3-4 years. This brand was recommended for its cooling system and solid state. The last laptop we had overheated with use. So far so good. We like the touch of the keys. For me a backlit keyboard is a must. I like the fact that the camera can be shut off. Camera quality is decent, could be clearer. Sound seems alright. Unit is very lightweight. Case is metal, which we like as well. I miss having a number pad, and dvd player, but can live with that. We may have to get external ones to use. Over all, it seems like a sturdy unit and we hope to have a long productive relationship with it.
