Generally good, a bit flimsy screen
Pretty good laptop and great value. When you receive it, hit Fn-F6 to activate the webcam - had to search to find that solution.
Only complaint and reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the screen is pretty flimsy, that part of the laptop is plastic. You need to be gentle with it. So small that it fits most 15" laptop cases which is nice. Very powerful. About 75GB of the 256GB SSD taken up with Windows files etc. Only bloatware was Candy Crush and easy to remove and not really obtrusive anyway.

Nice one!
Pros: Incredibly bright and color gamut for the entry level laptop.
Decent hardware for the price what you pay.
Cons: small coil vine when you using laptop in Performance cooler's mode. Silent mode (for regular use is OK)

Satisfied overall
I have been pleased with this laptop overall. I am not a gamer but I was looking for a 17 in display which are not that common. This unit is surprisingly light but also sturdy. There is no bounciness in the keyboard. The back lit keyboard was also a must. Display is very good and no complaints regarding performance. The fan runs a bit but it is quiet and does not distract me. The unit also runs cool. Track pad has been working fairly well. My only complaint is the feet underneath are a bit sharp which requires some adjustment when it is used as an actual laptop. I have ordered a laptop pad. Hopefully that will help. Also when opened I'm not sure if the back would scratch a wooden surface.

The Hz is a bit low for League of Legends..it looks wavy when I play in almost max settings.
Loved the price. Paid $ and waiting for the $100 mail and rebate. If you can avoid UPS please do it; they kept postponing the arrival of my laptop, had to drive 45min away twice because it wasn't ready the first time and pick it up at a UPS location. After hours of playing game lags so I click initiate full repair and that solves problem; that must be a client bug. I love the light up keyboard and how light this laptop is and also enjoy the large screen size. I will likely add a better graphics card and 16gb ram of memory in the near future.

Fast and reliable so far
This computer has all the specs necessary to start a pc gamer off well. The processor is faster than most computers on the market of similar or higher price. Peers recommend having at least a GTX1650 video card to play games smoothly and this one has it. I mainly use this laptop for web browsing and it delivers this performance really well. On my old laptop when I check Yahoo e-mail it tends to load each e-mail with a couple seconds of delay. On this msi laptop, the moment I click on an e-mail the preview pops out almost instantly. I was stunned by the fast performance of this new laptop versus my old laptop. One other thing I'm not thrilled is like most every computer, this computer also comes with its on bloatware. The SSD is divided into two drives which for most people who install a lot of software, the separate drives isn't ideal, and will require a partition software such as niubi to merge the drives.

great computer at an ok price.
this is a light computer that runs fast when plugged in. You must install a color management software and tinker with the windows color calibration settings, or bring your own, to be able to read text. the MSI line of computers in this generation uses a recent 9th generation intel CPU, and run fast due to having a small SSD (you will want to install your own, larger ssd) and a discrete video card. for the price, they are very competitive, if you don't mind making the minor adjustments required to ensure visual acuity and brightness/contrast/color settings.

Good gaming laptop
Bought this laptop on cyber Monday and got a really good deal through Adorama. My son loves it. It was easy to set it up and get games installed. We played The Crew 2 games and it runs very nice and smoothly.
The build of the laptop feels pretty good and what you would expect for something in the mid range. What bugs me is he lack of a win key on the left side of the keyboard. In fact the whole keyboard layout could be better. But then again thats just something you get used to and of personal preference.
All in all good machine. Good specs. I’d recommend it.

Excellent value for the my money.
Received this as a Christmas gift shortly after Black Friday 2019.
I have been using it daily for a month now and I am extremely happy with the purchase. It is a good looking, well-constructed, fast laptop. I am very surprised at how it performs - especially for the price. I believe this to be an excellent laptop for the money. The screen, the speakers, the keyboard, the input jacks, and the power adapter are all of high quality.

Nice laptop for the $$
I am using this laptop with a Samsung Odessey + HMD and the frame rate is fine. I play mostly sims Xplane11 and Rollercoaster 2 and RF9 ..
Worked out better than I expected.
I would recommend.

Best Found Deal of the Season
5 Start rating is based on Price and Adorama's service; order was processed, shipped and delivered promptly. After much looking for a Laptop with similar specs, the combination of MSI rebate + Amex statement credit made this the best deal in town this season, The down side is that I pay Tax on full sale price in NY, not much I cant do about that so it is what it is, however, this fact may be seen as deceiving advertising by some. Regarding the machine itself: it looks and performs as expected; well see what happens long term. First time having a laptop with an internal battery like this one has; no idea as how long it will last nor how difficult or expensive the replacement would be. Can't really say anything negative about the machine, except that I was very displeased the way MSI decided to partition the Hard drive. Time will tell if this was a good purchase or not but again, best deal found on a 17" / GTX1650 combination.

Good Purchase
Bought this when a deal came up at or near Black Friday. In terms of price per specs it was a no brainier for me as I wasn't looking to spend too much on a laptop. I just needed something to play CS:GO and this laptop does that pretty well.

Best deal for the laptop i could find anywhere. Laptop performs as expected with the 9th gen core i5 and gtx 1650. Added an extra 8gb of ram and a ssd drive. Great gaming experience with the 17” display. Overall dimensions not much bigger from a 15” thanks to the thin bezels. Being the GF family, its a very thin laptop. Keyboard and trackpad all work nicely and smooth. Only drawback is the loud loud fan noise. No matter how loud the game volume you can hear the fan noise. Only way is to use headphones. Other than that, its a great gaming laptop. I recommend it to anyone looking for moderate gaming. If you want to run all games with maxed out settings you’ll need an RTX 2060 or above. Thanks Adorama for the great purchasing experience.

I'm diggin' it
Upgraded from an older HP that was running Windows 7. The speed of the SSD is the first thing I noticed with this laptop. It's fast to start-up, load Windows and be ready to launch anything (browser, MS Office product, etc). While I'm not a gamer, I certainly still look for solid performance. For my needs, this is more than I was looking for at a fantastic price (and a rebate on top of it). Very pleased with my purchase.

Good Performance for the Price but Could Use More LEDs
Boots quickly and has a very high resolution display for the price. But only one tiny LED to indicate power on and battery status. I miss the indicator for hard/solid-state drive activity.

Great Home Laptop: MSI GF75 Thin 17.3" Full HD Gaming;
I bought it for an improved Home experience. I got more than I expected.
Received it on time: about a week later. It was new and as described.
17" screen (1080p) is fantastic.
GPU (GTX1650) is great: CPU usage is less than 15% vs 40% plus on previous laptop.
Sound is fantastic No joke!, it is a huge improvement.
Upgrades I did: Memory (added 16GB) and NVME m.2 changed to 1TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus
Wishes: I would have liked a 2nd display port (HDMI + DP) for my 2nd external monitor.
All is All: It is a budged laptop. and loving it.
