A sturdy, well made case. I bought mine to use in a backpack to carry my LF gear. If I had a need I would buy these again.

Just bought the Mountainsmith Kit Cube a couple weeks back so that I could carry some of my camera gear inconspicuously in my backpack -- and avoid carrying two bags for upcoming trips to Europe and India. This case fits quite a bit of gear. I wanted, at minimum, camera + body + 1 other lens but was pleasantly surprised that I had room to spare. Your mileage will obviously vary depending on the gear you've got, but I can fit: Nikon D750 with 24-120/4VR attached, face down (front of lens on bottom of bag, LCD on top) Nikon 50/1.4G, in the middle, underneath the D750 grip, standing up. If you've got another lens whose width is the same as the height of this one, you may be able to lay it down. Nikon 70-210/4 constant (from the 80s), inside its leather case. You'd have to compare dimensions with other zooms in this range. Mostly constrained by height rather than width. Although the bag fits so much stuff, it fits with relative ease into medium-large backpacks. Smaller bags just aren't happening - I tried a couple different 20-22L backpacks (Jack Wolfskin Central Pack, Patagonia Anacapa) and it didn't quite fit into those. It fit all right in the Dakine Factor 20L but I landed on the North Face Jester for my Europe trip. By comparison, it fits very easily into larger bags - e.g. my SwissGear 15" laptop backpack from a few years ago.
