Matthews introduces a concept to a well established piece of grip equipment -- BOA BAGS. This versatile, coated steel shot bag quickly wraps around the baseof any stand column, brace, tee handle, arm or boom.  By placing the weight directly below the weight of the fixture, the weight is actually directed straight down the stand's vertical column, holding it firmly in place.  The rubber gripper pad wraps around and "sticks" to booms and arms, even at sever angles. The bag's own weight actually increases its holding ability!  Fast, easy-to-place and remove, BOA BAG is a strong, multiple layered bag that's easy to lift and carry. Available in three sizes.

They are a little bit pricey but there really are no better sand bags for a tripod or tether computer station. They are really tough and very useful design.

My favorite bags

Excellent weight bags to anchor light stands and any other gear need to stay put.  They are designed to easily wrap around  equipment in tight spaces with a very small footprint.

BOA BAG 15 lb.s

This bag is 10 pounds is feels quite heavy.  I like the way I can drape it over the top of the angled leg portion at the base of my light stands.

Great bag for light stands

This is a great, versatile weight bag.  You can wrap it around the pole of a light stand and it doesn't slide down at all. Traditional weight/sand bags don't work well on the angled support pieces of a light stand and they don't stay put if you try to wrap them around the vertical pole.  The boa bag works beautifully plus you can use it as a counter weight for booms if needed. Note that it also comes already filled & ready to go. Great design - very impressive product.
