Matthews Trapeze, to "Fly" a Lighting Instrument into a Set

Obtaining its name from the obvious similarity to its circus counterpart, not just because of its look, but also its function, the Trapeze is used to "fly" a lighting instrument, chandelier or other practical light into a set, usually from a grid or catwalk on the center ring via rope, chain or cable. The ring welded at each end of the Trapeze is for attaching positioning ropes.
