reuab T : I need clarification. Is this one grip arm with a permanent grip head attached to it (meaning it doesn't slide) and can it be attached to a regular light stand? And then trying to clarify is there a 2nd grip head to attach a strobe light to?JETHRO P : The grip arm is comprised of a shaft and two grip heads with both grip heads attached to the shaft. One grip head is movable and used for attachment to a regular light stand. The second grip head, which is for counter balance, is attached to the shaft, in a semi-permanent position with an Allen screw. This grip head could be loosen with an Allen wrench and moved along the shaft or completely removed, which would defeat the intended purpose. The grip arm which I have is 5/8 inch in diameter which permits me to mount the strobe lights directly to the end of the shaft, without any additional attaching device.
Ahmad A : How small does the extension arm get, when it is telescoped down to its minimal length?ANDREW R : The arm in this set does not telescope, it is a fixed 40" length.

If you already have a stand with an arm and want to add an extra arm for more articulation, get the Mathews #681013 <a href="http://www.adorama.com/MTB681013.html" target="_blank">http://www.adorama.com/MTB681013.html</a>PATTY R : The picture shows two grips. I believe that it only comes with one and that the other is available for purchase at 19.99. If this is true, Adorama should change the photo to represent what is actually for sale at this price or clarify it in the description.PATTY R : This arm and grip is designed for use with a C stand or standard lighting stand. I am not sure what you mean about additional grip that will hold a pin.
