Yes, This is a manual 85mm lens. As long as that doesn't scare you, this lens appears to be well built, is heavy, and provides crisp pictures. I bought this lens so I could add an 85mm lens to my collection, with the intent of buying a better lens later. At this point, I'm not sure that will be necessary. I really like this lens! Contrary to what some of the negative reviews say, I'm not having any issues with it so far.

I really love this lens. All the setting rings turn as smooth as butter. They are quite so using this lens for video is great as well. Its build is solid as a tank. This lens should last a life time. Photos are sharp. Would recommend to anyone.

I love this lens and have been very impressed. I love shooting in all manual setting. This is the perfect lens for shooting in manual. If you are dependent on AF you may want to pass. The lens is heavy and reminds me of the older vintage lens when I was using a 35 mm film camera. The construction and glass are solid. I am using this with my Nikon D5200. The quality is outstanding for the cost. The lens is heavy so you may want to consider using a tripod or shooting with the strap around you neck for sure. I am not disappointed at all.
