It's a great idea and sounds too good to be true. It is, as this adapter does not get along with the majority of legacy Nikon lenses. 

I tested it on prime lenses from 16mm to 50mm and almost all of them looked terrible except the very center of the frame, even stopped down to f/11. It did well with the old 16mm f/3.5 fisheye, which was quite a surprise. The 50mm f/1.4 was the worst with this lens, softer in the whole frame at all apertures than it is on the A7.
