Aspherical lenses with anti-reflection coatings enhance the image's contrast and sharpness from the center to its edge. Each lens surface is layered with 21 layers of M* multicoating, while the BAK4 roof prisms are coated with high-efficiency silver-based Minobright coatings. These proprietary optical technologies yield an impressive 92% light transmission, with significantly improved brightness, contrast, detail and color rendering.

The HG is built around a rigid, tough and lightweight magnesium alloy housing that offers a significant reduction in weight, a sleek profile and an excellent platform for a precision optical system.
