Fun to play with
I'm just writing this review because I myself debated for so long in making this purchase and was unable to find much information. Maybe someone else wants to know more of this product. First off, I purchased these glasses because I was taking my youth group skiing this winter and thought this would be easier than trying to ski and use a compact camera at the same time. I wanted to do candid photos of the kids while skiing, not videos, portraits, or landscapes. Nor was I interested in using this for an MP3 player. So some facts that may be relevant + The product itself is made of ok plastic and it wouldn't take much to break them. + It does come with a wireless remote control + It also comes with a and a USB charger cable which you can use with a computer to charge it. If you want to use an outlet you'll have to purchase a USB outlet separately (I used the one from my IPod). + Memory is internal, you can't add more. The set I have only has 2 gig in them (but that is enough for a few hours of shooting).+ It comes with a CD for software, but my Windows 7 machine recognized the glasses when plugged (note, I do have to plug them in twice sometimes before the computer recognizes them). + They do stand out. People did ask my why my sun glasses looked "funny". + It doesn't take videos. Just Photos and plays music. To operate as a camera is simple. You put on the glasses and put in the ear buds. Press the "On" button till you hear a sound. To take a photo you press the shutter button either on the glasses or on the remote till you hear the end of the beeping sequence (one beep that the shutter is open, another that the shutter is done, and then a third that the image was saved). Note if you release the button before the beeping sequence is done the photo will not be saved. To get good photos take some practice. You have to learn "where" to look to get an idea of where the frame is. Also when taking the picture hold still while you wait for the first two sets of beeps or else you'll get motion blur. The image quality is OK, acceptable for candid shots to show everyone how much fun you were having in a scrap book or slide show. For skiing, I liked the remote for I just put it inside my glove and snapped away even while skiing (sometimes the light was bright enough to avoid motion blur, sometimes the blur made a cool effect). I'm glad I bought them at the [$] price. At that price I wasn't expecting much more than I got, nor would I have been upset if they did break, and I'm happy with getting some interesting photos that I wouldn't have if I had to stop-take off my gloves-get out my compact camera-ect.
