Perfect solution
After having a mic stand with boom for my Rode NT1A I decided to switch to this instead. On my old mic boom stand the weight of the Rode was just too much when fully extended. This Mic stand attached quickly to my desk and more importantly fully handles the weight of the mic and stays put in any position. Highly recommend this stand for heavier tube type mics that weigh a lot. Range of motion and mounting is really nice too. Would buy it again in a heartbeat.
