bought this flash because I own a Minolta film camera and it has a hot shoe that the flash just slips onto and is no trouble to do so. Don't know about this person who owns Fuji camera, if it doesn't have a hot shoe for a flash he or she is out of luck. flash comes with a booklet or at least mine did that might be helpful. Have no problems using it. When all else fails read the instructions.

I wanted a compact, minimalist flash for use with my non-TTL Leica M6 and M2 (which only will flash sync at 1/50th or longer). The Metz appears to be widely used with these cameras. I have done very little with strobes and wanted something that would make me think about what I was doing. Seems reasonably well made for the price and is very small. Recycle time is maybe five seconds. It presupposes ISO 100 film, so you have to do the arithmetic for different speeds. Seems to eat batteries if left on. The price is right. The manual is only OK.

This is a great product if you want an easy to use on camera flash option. It gives you 3 settings. M = Full power f/5.6 = half power and f/2.8 low power. The bounce head is handy if you don't want to blast your subject with the flash. Needs to be used with full manual camera settings. It is small and only needs 2 AA batteries. Recycle time is only OK its not too fast but not incredibly slow. I would recommend this item for the price you pay.

The automatic settings work exceedingly well. As long as I'm working within the recommended distances, using this flash as per the instructions in Auto mode works just as well as my EX430II does in TTL mode. It works with my Mamiya 7, my Nikon FE, and both my Canon SLRs. It would only take more range/power to put this flash into a 5-star rating. At its price, though, it's amazingly good.

Nice, Works for semi-dark churches. Takes a bit longer to re-amp than I like...but very much worth what i paid for it.

Very compact flash with a nice tilting flash head for bounce shooting capabilities. Nice even consistent output. Very light and portable. Very inexpensive for a bounce flash. Perfect for the Canon G7. The only two cons are that it does take a bit of time for the flash to recycle after a full power flash and the construction is not tank-like. It's a bit flimsy. You get what you pay for. Besides those two things, it's great.

The Metz mecablitz 20 C-2 is eminently suitable as a cost-effective entry-level model. For price-conscious beginners: Metz mecablitz 20 C-2. Currently the smallest of the compact flash units from Metz, this unit is significantly more effective than the flash incorporated in the camera.
The mecablitz 20 C-2 with guide number 20m/65' at ISO 100/21° and 35 mm focal length is intended for all those who prefer a flash unit that fits in their jacket pocket. This smart little unit has two telecomputer apertures as well as manual partial light output. A particular highlight is the pivoting reflector of the mecablitz 20 C-2.
