LaWanda B : will this work with a lecia M240?ARI K : I'm not sure but I wouldn't recommend this flash for that body. This is more suited for a point and shoot camera. I would go for a more robust flashGinny C : Not sure. It didn’t work with the CL.

Did not work on my Leica Q

I am sure this a good flash on the right camera. I have read other reviews that this flash works on a Leica Q. The Metz 26 AF-2 flash for Olympus/Panasonic/Leica TTL Cameras (Metz MZ 26332OP) did not work with or fit properly on my Leica Q. The flash did not fire. This flash hot shoe is longer than the Leica Q and the pins on the bottom of the flash hot shoe are a different configuration from the Leica Q and my Leica SF40 flash.

Fast Recharge, Great Form Factor

I was a longtime Metz user on my Pentax bodies and have been a bit disappointed on losing a few heads due to premature bulb death on a couple of them. I bought this for my Leica D-LUX4 just to use casually so I am not too concerned about the bulb blowing prematurely. It's handy to have in your bag (or your pocket - it's tiny) and does a good job. Easy controls and full TTL on my Leica.

I bought this for my Leica D-LUX4 just to use casually so I am not too concerned about the bulb blowing prematurely. It's handy to have in your bag (or your pocket - it's tiny) and does a good job. Easy controls and full TTL on my Leica.

Despite its compact size - it even fits in a shirt pocket - the new Metz Mecablitz 26 AF-2 Digital Flash boasts comprehensive features. The device fits perfectly for any compact system camera and compact camera with hot shoe. The flash output impresses with a guide number of 26 for ISO100/21deg. and 85mm and outperforms camera integrated flashes. Its handy format makes it the ideal trip companion. Adjustments can be set using the function keys - it's an ideal item for flash beginners expecting nothing less than a perfect illumination.

The ingenious design enables the reflector to be rotated for an indirect flash. Together with the integrated wide angle diffuser (24mm), the Mecablitz 26 AF-2 allows sufficient creative scope for inventive illumination. Thanks to the additional two-level adjustable high-performance LED, the Mecablitz 26 AF-2 creates enough light for video recording. Depending on the camera, the flash also offers a slave mode, for making wireless TTL flash. A suitable flash stand for switching the position of the flash aside the camera is now included.
