Item arrived as scheduled but the receiver did not work at first as the battery could not touch the contacts. After adjusting the contacts by spreading them out slightly, it now works fine. I tested it at various distances and through several walls, and it performs well.

I first used this to mic someone outdoors. The range was shorter than I thought it would be but the sound quality when I was in range was great. This product did get the job done, just not if more than 50 feet range would be needed.

The system would get 5 stars if the mic was not sensitive to finger movement. Each time I lifted or slid a finger the mic would produce giant noise.

Hello, I need to recant a bad review I gave this when I bought it some time ago. I'm not too smart and very cheap. I don't like buying batteries and the batteries I first placed into the device were old. To say the least, it worked terribly. So, dummy me, I put it on the shelf and forgot about it. Today I happened to run accross it and thought I'd give it another try. I put FRESH BATTERIES into it and it WORKED FINE. Con: It doesn't give the impression that it's well made, but I'm not too tough on things, so I'm hoping it will give me a few years of good use. Go ahead and buy it.

Used it on the groom at wedding. Picked up everything: groom, bride, priest, vows - AND the choir nicely balanced in the background. Made the video hugely better and was very discrete; nobody noticed it. Wonderful addition to any camera that has external audio inputs (the only kind to buy).

Got the wrong frequency for our area the first time; Got all static and no voice when it counted - make sure to check the manufacturer's website for your location! Exchanged it (no questions asked) for the correct frequency and it worked fine for our next wedding video. Range and quality are not what you get with high end UHF systems but it provides good value for the money and the sound came through fine. We even had a few "outtake" sound bytes to chuckle about. I'll happily continue to use it in lieu of trying to justify an expensive UHF system.
