In film production, when strong sunlight needs to be recreated on set, multi-fixture lighting arrays are often the preferred solution. From early hybrid setups combining HMI and tungsten fixtures, to LED panels, and now to LED spotlights used in array configurations, each stage has significantly improved deployment and control efficiency, while achieving a better balance between illuminance and overall light quality. However, as LED spotlight arrays scale up, they can struggle with overheating. At the same time, physical design limits how closely the fixtures can be placed together, which can reduce overall performance.
To simplify workflows, enhance fixture reliability, and improve on-set efficiency, NANLUX introduces the Matrix series, featuring a re-engineered fixture structure. While achieving high illuminance output, the Matrix 2500C is designed to address key challenges in lighting arrays-such as structure, light output, heat management, and control. They deliver optimized light quality, prolonged operation capability, and enhanced multi-fixture synchronization, while providing a higher-quality, more stable and efficient solution for simulating sunlight on set.
High Power, High Density, Even Illumination
The Matrix 2500C feature a unified design with four high-power lamp heads. Combined with an efficient optical design, they output excellent light quality and high illuminance whether used with or without modifiers.
When used as a single fixture, Matrix 2500C deliver impressive illuminance in a compact form factor, making them ideal for bouncing or accent lighting, and evenly illuminating backgrounds thanks to the efficient optical design. When used in an array, they produce a smooth, blended output, with their high power and dense illumination delivering exceptional punch.
Nebula Light Engine
The Matrix 2500C is equipped with NANLUX's latest Nebula Light Engine, delivering excellent light quality with rich rendering and fully linear dimming. Brightness can be adjusted smoothly and precisely from 0.0% to full output.
Matrix 2500C
The Nebula C8 Color Light Engine is powered by NANLUX's innovative eight-color system (Deep Red, Red, Amber, Lime, Green, Cyan, Blue, and Indigo). With its advanced color-mixing algorithm, it delivers a wider CCT range, better skin tone reproduction, broader color gamut, and enhanced color saturation.
CCT Range: 1,000K-20,000K (G/M+/-200)
Covers 82% of the CIE 1931 visible color gamut
Covers 6% more within the visible color gamut than Rec. 2020
Covers 94% of the Rec. 2020 color space
The Matrix 2500C has seven built-in lighting modes, including CCT, HSI, HSIW, RGBW, XY Coordinates, Gel, and Effect, delivering a wide CCT range and versatile color control for diverse applications.
With 0.1% dimming control, the Matrix 2500C deliver fully linear dimming performance, ensuring smooth transitions throughout the dimming range, with consistently stable performance even at low end levels.
Build Array with Matrix
The Matrix 2500C is specifically designed for multi-unit array setups. Their design-covering construction, light output, cooling, and control-ensures consistent, stable, and efficient performance, even in large, high-density configurations.
All-in-One Design
With a single power cable connected, a Matrix 2500C is ready to use. The fixture integrates the power adapter and control unit, eliminating the need for a DC connection cable, making transportation easier and setup extremely fast.
Compact Assembly
With a dedicated four-light frame, users can build a 10,000W lighting array. The included 4-way power distribution cable powers all four fixtures within the array simultaneously. The EXT port cable enables synchronized control of the four fixtures, allowing the entire setup to operate via a single control signal and significantly simplifying cabling. Multiple arrays can be mounted on truss systems and combined to scale up into a larger modular lighting matrix.
When configured as an array, the spacing between lamps in adjoining fixtures closely matches the internal spacing of the lamps within each fixture, creating a compact layout and producing an even beam.
IP66 Protection
Built with a one-piece magnesium alloy housing and rated IP66, the fixture combines strength with lightweight design, performing reliably in rainy, humid, and dusty environments for extended outdoor use.
Efficient Cooling Solution
The Matrix uses an innovative front-to-rear airflow system designed to address the heat accumulation issues commonly found in other high-density array setups. This effectively eliminates heat stacking typically caused by top-and-bottom ventilation layouts, ensuring stable performance of the lighting array under continuous, high-load operation.
The cooling system includes four fan modes, allowing users to switch according to output and noise control requirements. In Smart mode, the fan speed automatically adapts to ambient temperature, and the noise level can be reduced to as low as 36 dB(A), which reduces interference with audio recording.
Flexible Wired and Wireless Controls
The Matrix 2500C support a wide range of wired and wireless control options. They also have NFC functionality that enables quick pairing via the NANLINK App. With DMX control, each lamp head can be controlled individually, allowing precise tuning of different zones within a large lighting array. In virtual productions, this function allows the lighting to respond dynamically in sync with on-screen changes, enabling real-time ambient lighting response.
On-board
Three knobs and four buttons provide intuitive and easy operation.
Wired Controller
The optional wired controller (WC-EXT) has a control panel that replicates the interface on the fixture, allowing users to remotely control the fixtures using the same operating logic.
NANLINK App
Connect via Bluetooth for an intuitive and efficient wireless control experience.
DMX/RDM
Two 5-pin XLR DMX in and out ports provide a stable connection for group control.
Lumen Radio CRMX
The built-in Timo Two module allows connection to the CRMX control ecosystem and offers flexible wireless DMX control.
Art-Net/sACN
Two LAN ports support Art-Net/sACN control over Ethernet, enabling long-distance control.
NFC
Enables quick connection to the NANLINK App 2.0 and batch DMX setup for multiple fixtures even when powered off, greatly improving pairing efficiency.
Advanced Accessories
A range of accessory solutions are provided for on-set lighting matrix applications. These focus on light shaping and array configuration for the widest range of lighting requirements.
The Matrix 2500C adopt a new accessory interface that supports fast and stable attachment of modifiers. The electronic contacts on the mount can recognize attached accessories, enabling the operation of motorized modifiers or automatic color-shift correction, delivering a more intelligent light-shaping experience.
The included FL-MT25 Motorized Fresnel Lens addresses manual adjustment challenges when lighting arrays are rigged at height. Compared with conventional reflectors, this Fresnel lens enables precise beam angle control, allowing quicker response to dynamic changes in lighting zones.
Modifier
This motorized Fresnel lens features a zoom range of 16 Degree -48 Degree . With an all-in-one design, the beam angles of all four lenses are adjusted simultaneously. When mounted on the fixture, it is powered via electronic contacts. The beam angle can be adjusted via the fixture's control panel, the NANLINK App, DMX console, Lumen Radio CRMX, Ethernet, or wired controller. It is also IP66-rated for challenging environments.
