Questions & Answers

ERNESTINE255 W : Want to do senior pictures 50's style. Will this go on a stand?CLEMENS N : Yes, it will fit a standard microphone stand. The Mic works great as far as I am concern, a light habit of feeding back in the low's.JOYCE S : Yes. I have mine on a standard screw on type microphone stand and it works great!ANTHONY F : Yes! Candidly, I'm about to order a second one.EDWARD O : Yep. JEFFREY Q : Yes - attaches to mic standBRANDON R : Yep, sure will.RENETTA B : Asolutely. My husband was able to fit it in by adjusting the mic stand - very easy to do. A great deal & great sound, highly recommend! Enjoy.DWIGHT S : one thing. it is not chrome so doesn't have that shiney look.DWIGHT S : I just used it yesterday on a stand for a photo shoot . it does fit, wish i could show you.JOHN R : Yes, it will fit on a mic stand....in fact, it comes with a threaded adapter insert so it can fit two different sizes of mic stands, depending on which you have. John aheKENNETH S : Yes. This will thread to a typical mic stand.DAN C : Yes a regular old mic stand works just fine
Shopper : Can you put this mic on stand?DWIGHT S : one thing. it is not chrome so doesn't have that shiney look.JEFF M : Yes you can. It has a threaded bottom that also features a threaded insert to fit 2 different size stands. Those sizes are in the manual as I don't them for sure. I bought this as a photo prop along with a mic stand and was able to thread it on after taking out the smaller insert.JOHN C : Yes, it has a threaded hole in the base of the mic, and also comes with an insert for smaller diameter stands.RYAN K : Yes. It has threading for two sizes of stands.JEFFREY Q : Yes, you can put this mic on a stand.BRANDON R : Yes.
Shopper : Hello! basically is this mic good? It can be used for a live band? Would a shure 55SH-2 be of a higher quality? I haven't heard of Nady before...VAUGHN S : I don't know how it sounds because we used it as a stage prop and never plugged it in.DONALD D : I have used the NADY mic for about 6 months now and it seems to work very well. If you have a trained ear, you can notice small differences from a 55sh-2 Mic., but only those super sensitive listeners will be able to tell the difference. A good balance on the EQ should take care of any concerns. I use it live most of the time. As with a mic of this syle, you do have a little more concern about feedback due to the nature of the shape. Again EQ settings should correct any issues. Very good microphone at less than half the cost of the expensive 55sh-2. Purchase a microphone speed clip available on a musicians supply website or other simular sites and it will save you time in connecting the mic on and off the stand and avoiding the chance of cross threading. I would recommend doing that even if you purchased a 55sh-2. The brand has been around for many years but doesn't get much professional exposure.

Everybody loves it!!!

Looks great! I get comments every time I play. On\off switch is quiet, except when I have reverb on. It will shut off without a sound but has noticeable pop when turned back on. The proximity effect was easy to get used to and in just a few practice sessions I was able to "work" the mic as well as any of my others. It is slightly more susceptible to feedback but this is a small trade off for a very, very good sounding mic at an outstanding price. I use a short goose-neck to off set it from my mic stand a little so I am less likely to bump the stand during a performance. Sturdy construction didn't disappoint. I am very pleased- should have purchased one a long time ago!

This vintage retro-look styling microphone has advanced state-of-the-art acoustic design perfect for multi-purpose studio, recording, broadcasting, or live performance theater, concert applications.

The PCM-200 can be used with any standard mixer, powered mixer/amplifier, or mic preamp. Using either an XLR to XLR or XLR to 1/4" phone plug low impedance cable, connect the female XLR end to the PCM-200 and the other end male XLR or 1/4" phone plug, as appropriate) to your equipment.

The PCM-200 can be mounted on a microphone stand with the integral mic holder mount supplied. (Depending on the threading of the mic stand you are using, you may need to remove the threaded adapter from the mic holder.)

Although all microphones are prone to feedback to some extent, with a unidirectional polar pattern are specially designed to accept only signals from the audio source directly in front of the mic cartridge.

Thus, the cardioid pattern of the PCM-200 ensures that it will deliver only the desired audio in front of the mic, rejecting the unwanted audio from the rear, even in noisy ambient conditions with high sound pressure levels from the P.A. and monitor speakers. This means that feedback will be greatly minimized with the PCM-200 in all live performance miking applications.
