I typically run this on the low (70 lumen) or medium (210 lumen) settings while exploring caves in Kentucky. Intelligently toggling between these settings allows me to easily use this light for 10+ hours. If I need more power than that, it's easy to swap a battery even in the relatively hostile cave environment that has high humidity and mud. For $55 for the light and less than $70 for three batteries this is also a great value in lights.

Pros   Super bright, I found the 1000 lumen (turbo setting) is like the lighting in a typical bedroom. Its small but not too small, I can fit in into my MOLLE straps on my bag, strap on shirt, attach to camera strap, it's very portable. Its robust, I can?t own nice things. No need for carrying a charger, *IF you get it w/NL1834R (3400mAh), Why? Because it has an integrated micro USB charging port builtin. Can use cable from Camera charger to charge.   Cons Diffuser included but has a plastic ring clip that fouls on the metal belt clip when both used together. Modified to fit but doesn?t stay secured. No magnetic base offered at purchase time. You can't remove the camera mount from the headstrap, if you want a more secure mount to belt clip. Nitecore sell a replacement camera mount with out headstrap, will see how that goes. No GoPro and or 1/4 Camera mount available.

I love this headlamp, I work in a large machine room in charge of keeping machinery maintained and running its dark with tight working conditions and this light makes it real easy to see what I’am working on , and the battery lasts a long time to.

Used with the 3400mha Nitecore battery I bought, this flashlight is one of the best ever. I especially like its small form factor as I like to carry at least one flashlight with me at all times. On turbo it will light up an entire basketball court. It provides enough light on 3 to do most any work. It can get somewhat hot on the two highest settings. Overall I would have given it a 5 except that the switch(the Achilles heel of all flashlights)has acted up from time to time.

The shipping time wasnt very long. The product is excellent. Best headlight i have ever owned.as soon as i can afford to i will order another for a back up and also a handheld light , maybe the MH-12. Ive owned a few Surefire flashlights which are garbage........ive owned a dozen expensive streamlights over the last 10 years......along with to many other cheaper lights to even recall....such as Coast, Coleman, Ozark Trail, Energizer, Rayovac, Maglight, Pelican, Craftsman.......the list goes on and on. As far as quaility goes the nitecore are one of the very best. They are also among the brightest.

Havent had a ton of time to test. First impression , great headband. Really cool lightweight flash light. Now as far as the light goes. You have to get use to indexing the button. I stick to same brands for this reason and i am outside of the brand with this one. So give it time.  Brightness is great.Probably use med. And low modes the most. Now the operation of the modes needs to be simplified! I have to think before i operate to but it bluntly. My only minor issue and less then 1/2 a star but its not a option for 4 1/2 stars is the mounting area. Great idea just not executed 100% . its a very soft flexible rubbish material. Kinda wish it was a tad stiffer..or maybe a snug clip like base that hugs the body with a plastic backing plate..Other models have it so not unthinkable. But i would buy this item again. I now i know its place in my use of my gear.

I’m an auto mechanic and I’ve worn this headlamp everyday almost constantly for over a year now without any issues whatsoever other than having worn out the headband due to sweat and grease. I love how the light rotates to any angle allowing me to see from different positions. I use brightness level 2 which is adequate for all repair tasks and gives excellent battery life without excessive heat. I’m very happy to be able to purchase a replacement headband. I would’ve ordered the bracket also had I known it was available just because mine is slightly weakened from oil/grease but still works fine.

I bought the hc30 headlamp. It works great.it is the brightest light i have used. It is a lot smaller than what the picture makes it look like online. It is really light weight. I am a very through buyer. I would be surprised if you found another that you liked better.
