This is one of the best flashlights I ever owned. I bought it in probably 2015. It's 2022. I lost it years ago. I've been waiting for an updated version with the same smooth tactile ring. Don't know why a 7 or so year old flashlight is still being sold new for what I bought it for.

Only have had it for 2 weeks but, it's my 4th Nitecore light purchase. I have used 3 other lights (2 headlamps and a 90 degree light) for over a year daily. I am an inspector and mechanic for the largest garbage truck co. in the country. None have failed me. I cannot function on night shift w/o lights. Nitecore rules.

I had the same model two years ago. It has very unique features other flashlights don?t have. I love the adjustment ring from the brightness to different colors It can be used for a wide range of applications.

I looked for a flash light like this for a long time. I will say that the UV part could be brighter but you just get a little closer. Very strong and well built. I wish you can go full bright for much longer but its long enough. I don't think anyone will be disappointed with this flashlight unless they expect gold in a salt mine

Love the multi-color capability.  Great turbo white light intensity & throw.  If I had to give drawbacks it would be lack of settings inscriptions & size is a bit large but overall a great flashlight.  And it's definitely got me contemplating purchasing more Nitecore products.

I love the ring control on the SRT7. It's like a Maglite on steroids. I have an SRT3, SRT5, SRT9, and this model. I prefer the ring  control over the button controlled flashlights. Looks like the SRT7 is the last of the ring controlled lights offered by Nitecore. I hope they keep this model around.

I bought this lite because it is 5 flashlights in one. Uv light, 3other colors and an infinite dimming light as well. Perfect light to keep in the vehicle. The perfect addition to my nitecore collection.

I've used this model regularly for at least 4 years, started with just srt7.   It seems unbreakable, I've lost one.  The 50,000 candels really makes a difference.  Throw and brightness is remarkable.   Cycling with buttons seems like such a step back now.  I'm skilled at turning this light on with the output I want on the ring.   This models great.

Excellent light another great light from nite core the only thing I will say is I wish the beam distance was 5 50 yd range instead of the 450.. Other than that it's an excellent light.. Quality, build, technology

I've had this light high on my wish list for almost seven years now and finally got one. First the good: It's robust, feels great in the hand, it's loaded with features and the selector ring is a joy to use. The issues: Quality control is a little lax. The emitter in my light is not centered. The bores for the colored LEDs are not smooth around the edges and beam pattern is ripply. The selector ring sometimes glitches and lags behind the input. Sometimes the battery indicator light flashes when turning the light off, and using CR123 batteries makes the battery indicator flash constantly. The biggest issue of all: It doesn't actually put out 1000 lumens on high. It falls about 15% short of my 1000-lumen Fenix light. Many other owners have reported the same shortcoming. You can't tell with the naked eye, but it is a little disappointing nonetheless. Overall, I'm extremely happy I finally own one and I use it all the time just because I can.

Everything about the SRT7GT is great. It has Nitecore's quality everywhere. The light is very bright and the colored lights are quite bright too. The red is almost too bright. My only complaint is the SmartRing. The detents are softer and less positive than on my SRT5 which has very solid clicks. It it possible to unintentionally move the ring from your setting. I don't know why they did this. The SRT5 was so positive when adjusted I never accidentally moved the ring and I don't think it's possible. Very glad I got this light and will continue buying Nite lights, I do hope they tighten up the SmartRings though.

I purchased a Nitecore SRT7GT and battery on 6/20, well after business hours.  My light shipped on 6/21 and arrived just two days later. Thanks! About the light itself: the SRT7GT has a look and feel of quality. It worked right out of the box (don't forget to remove the moisture prevention packet). It did take me a little time to get used to the Smart Ring Technology (my first experience with the ring as opposed to a second function/mode switch), but it works very smoothly and operates as advertised. The SRT7GT is "slightly" front heavy, but not overly so, and still feels comfortable while operating. Although I do not know how to measure the output (for comparison to the advertised specs) the beam is very sharp, bright and focused. I have not had the light long enough to attest to its durability. However, with Nitecore's reputation for quality, service and support, I am not going to be overly concerned. Pros: See above! Cons: None so far.

The great is that their is a little better throw then my SRT7 (yes I have the predecessor). The good: 1. Good build 2. Improved throw (although mostly from tighter beam focus) 3. Smoother tighter ring than previous model 4. Incredible versatility Needs to be improved: 1. No built in charging option 2. Real world throw not that improved over previous model at the expense of lowered battery life and run time 3. The Red and Green lights are brighter, but too bright for me and it is achieved by having individual led's for each color, this throws the center off for the beam and makes for a less desirable beam pattern, less smooth and less round. 4. Neat addition of UV, but I never use it and it's in the way of the other more frequently used color filters. You have to go thru it to get to Red and other filters. By the way, I first ordered from Amazon and got a bad unit. Then ordered from Nitecore store which was 20% off and one from Nitecore was much better!

This is a very nice flashlight with several features, seems to be well made and durable, has useful accessories that can be purchased for it; however, wish it had fixed marking on the barrel and position markings for each light function on the function ring.  Haha, I know you wouldn't be able to see the markings in very dark situations, but it would be handy to have and see in low light situations (or use illuminated markings?).

Gave my four year old my old hunting light and will never look back.   Versatile product that covers my diverse hunting and fishing needs.  Not the cheapest light on the market, but you get what you pay for.

I did a fair amount of research into this and other flashlights, and eventually settled on this one because of its array of functions. After the amount of research I had done, I already had the modes order memorized, and the size measured out so I could visualize it. So I wasn't surprised by the size, nor did I have issues learning where each mode was.The flashlight is very well built and sturdy, and the brightness is actually brighter than I had expected. I'm definitely a fan, and I expect I'll be buying from Nitecore again in the future.

brighter but for some reason it seems to make a smaller center spot.  The previous one has a fuzzy center spot which seems to light the area better but this may be an illusion as the GT emits a brighter seemly more clearly defined spot.  The light is better in higher modes .

Wow! I am truly impressed with the throw of this light, especially for how small it is. A note for future buyers: the Standby mode only draws power while the light is switched on. I know that's probably obvious to most, but it was a little vague for me in the description. My only complaints are the flashing blue & red "Police Warning" setting. It feels like a silly choice that might be helpful for law enforcement, but unlikely. And the bezel is fixed, so there's no option to install a PVD aggressive  granulated bezel that was available on the SRT7.
