Easy to install

I'm glad to have chosen this system.  Several times I've had server issues which meant no recording of events. Would like to beable to record while off-line.

Quality is great and video clarity is good.

Makes for seamless monitoring of exterior of home regardless of weather conditions. App works great and the 2-way audio is a great feature. Big downside is that they’re magnetic, so they work as long as they’re intact, but could feasibly be stolen by pulling the camera off the magnetic base.

Great tchnology

These NEST outdoor cameras are far superior to other IP cameras I have tried (DLink and Night Owl). My Nest cams were easy to install  and configure and the app and customizations available are top notch. I signed up for Nest Aware which gives you access to the last 15 days of recordings but the free version is great too - cloud is the way to go! No SD cards to worry about, easy installation with plenty of cord length, great notification settings alert you via email and/or text when activity, sound, or persons are detected. The microphone is surprisingly sensitive to sound from several yards away. I recently was able to get a neighbor's stolen bicycle back by providing a clip from my Nest cam that showed the thief taking it from several yards away. I have no complaints about this system and will be adding more cameras soon.

Very Nice

This was so easy to install, came with a super long power cord that we were able to run inside to plug into an outlet in the garage and still mount above the front porch. It also came with plenty of screws and cable stays to keep the cord running along the wall and not hanging down and in the way, etc. 

We already had the nest thermostat and it was easy to add a product to the app and  it basically auto-connected to our wifi. I am taking advantage of the 30 day free trial of "Nest Aware" motion alerts as well, which is great and could be especially useful when we are out of town. 

The video quality is really sharp and it even captures audio when the motion alerts trigger recording....LOVE this camera and highly recommend!

SO Simple to Install and Works Great!

sensor resolution is great but the power budget doesn't allow for very high quality video compression so most of the detail is lost... that is, you can get a lot more detail if you crop the image;  i consider this cheating on the specs since they promised 1080p but are really delivering just a fraction of that;  and it's so stupid to do it that way because this camera is already plugged into AC power so it's not like there is a real reason to limit its power consumption so bad

power budget for video compression is the limiting factor

I bought this camera a few months ago to monitor my front entrance. I works better that expected. The stored video is clear and easy to retrieve. It was easy to install and was up and running in less than an hour. Because it is in place my problems have been solved.
