Great combo device
This device is a great example of what a combo device should be. There's tons of features you can read about in the above but the one feature that I appreciate the best is the fact that the firmware for the modem is now separate from the router portion. Meaning your router portion can now get updates independent of the modem. This is critical as its one of the major con's of combo devices. A Fantastic New-Generation Router/Modem!
I set up my CAX80 a week ago, bought through Amazon where it's now available. My ISP is COX and this unit takes full advantage of the their gigablast plan (I'm getting 940Ghz Ethernet/500+Ghz on 5GWifi separated by 3 rooms). It is capable of far greater speeds, but I'd have to wait for future COX plan upgrades. Installation was simple and straightforward.
