I ordered this Netgear 8 port switch for my office to hook up several printers, a computer. It was shipped and received by the advertised time and I had no problems setting it up.

Easy to use and fast
I have this switch configured for two virtual networks. One is the ISP "Internet" side of my router and the other is my local network. Both run at full gigabit speed and it only took a few minutes to figure out how to set it is. This switch has a very easy learning curve.

Very good switch

A great switch with helpful management features
I replaced my switch with this one because it was nearly impossible for me to know the connection speeds of the devices I had plugged into it. Now I know exactly what the connection speed it of every device. This already helped me identify a few cables that needed to be replaced for optimal performance. I wish I bought it sooner.

im still working on getting it totally set up the way i want but it is fairly easy to setup if you go step by step at what you want to do im not using the setup wizard im doing a custom setup

Good solid switch
Nice managed switch. Web interface allows management and VLAN config. Can be monitored with Insight app. Quiet and easy to. Set up.

8-port gigabit switch
This is an excellent switch. My previous 5-port switch was full, and some ports didn't support devices I had tried using with it. With two different port groupings, this switch handled all of my requirements immediately upon plugging it in!

Managed Switch was unmanagable
I was unable o access the GUI for the switch, Netgear support ticket resolution was to return the device for another. I hope the replacement is not faulty.

Great little managed switch
If all you need is a 1Gb switch, then you can't really go wrong with this one. We have a couple of these switches in our home, now that we're both working from home all the time and there are a lot of devices passing a lot of data traffic throughout the house and from/into the outside world. I love that there is some management of the switch available, especially at such a low price. Frankly, our next step will be a fully managed 10Gb switch but for the moment, the Netgear is awesome.

Good, but lacking basic features
The switch works well and the management interface is easy to use. But the device lacks basic features, like forcing a port to operate at gigabit speeds.

I needed a more than basic switch to implement a simple set of VLANs on my home network (long story. Purchasing two Netgear smart switches fit the bill perfectly. 15 minutes after unpack I had my network configured and running perfectly.

Great smart switch, lacks LACP LAGG protocol
I researched and was led to believe (like many others after searching for an answer to why) that this supported LACP / LAGG (LAG) that would allow dual ethernet out to my SEEED that has two ethernet and can handle this protocol. Oh well, my fault for not researching, but hopefully you read this and buy with that extra knowledge.

Very nice device
I have installed It, it was plug and play. I hadn't any problems configuring the device. The functions the management gives are top. Best decision, to buy the router from Netgear!
