It didn't come with antenne, had to purchase that separately. Still has poor reception.

Just be warned it only takes a nano sim, there are no adaptors for micro or otherwise. Wish they would put that info somewhere noticeable. The software is more annoying than helpful for my use case as a backup to my primary isp.

I use this as a cellular failover WAN with a Verizon mobile hotspot plan. Failover/failback are handled by a Firewalla for me; I don't put this unit inline between my router and my primary ISP (ONT). It works well enough as a backup for smart home devices and Zoom calls, but I have to say in 2025 it's pretty limiting to be stuck with LTE. Congestion makes speeds very unstable. I would upgrade to a 5G modem if I cared more/had more frequent ISP outages.

If you live in the country and have nothing else to pick up the net, this devise can be a game changer. It runs off the same signals as your cell so you need to be in close proximity of the towers. We are about 4 miles away. Happy with this devise and would recommend it to those who have no other choices.

Bought the NETGEAR 4G LTE Modem to test to run on electronic signs and using on Verizon network to update signs and also troubleshoot. The Netgear LM1200 worked flawlessly and we purchased 12 more and will be buying more in future to help increase uptime and connectivity. The 5v usb cable is perfect for the device used to update signs and billboard can plug directly and is powered.

Works exactly as advertised. Excellent performance considering it has an older LTE cellular modem. Failover works flawlessly. I'm using it with a T-Mobile 5G SIM card and 5G prepaid data only plan, but obviously (as advertised) it only works with LTE. I've also tested it with a Verizon 5G SIM and data plan, and again it works great, but on LTE only. I can't wait until Netgear comes put with this same device in 5G and with a newer cellular modem. I'll buy one for sure!

Using it to provide backdoor access into my home network if my cable modem goes down. I got the cheapest data-only plan from T-mobile to go with it.

I have used this for well over a year, best backup modem ever. I truly hope they come out with a 5g version of same design. However upgraded with 2.5 or 10 ethernet ports. That would be in my shopping card in a heartbeat.

I live on an island with no cable and no Internet services other than wireless. My phone is fully capable of Internet and hotspot unlimited. But it would not talk to my solar panels envoy. This is an inexpensive unit and is perfect. It works beautifully. My solar panels are now back up to date and I can use it on my television as well. I love this an expensive 4g LTE modem.

For most uses, this is an all in one solution. Most of the features are not fully implemented but the features are extensive. Given the age of the device, you might want a newer device. If your area only offers LTE, this is a cheap and above average quality device. This is a solid 7/10.

Purchased this to replace a 5 yr old Verizon MiFi modem and expected a significant performance increase. The cellular towers in the area were upgraded and my Pixel 3 hotspot could provide 80+ mbps download speeds. The LM1200 advertised 150 mbps* and never came close in actual real world use. Could not even match half the performance of the Pixel 3 without an external antenna. Adding a ~$100 external antenna brought speeds up to about 50 mbps. Tech support says the limitation is the LM1200 is only a CAT4 LTE device, ?Pixel 3 is LTE-A (5CA) Cat16 1024/75 Mbps while LM1200 is LTE CAT 4 150/50Mbps?. Buyer beware this device supports limited LTE technology, thus it gets a 2 star ?Fair? rating.

Setup requires a lot of reboots and a PC or Mac with Ethernet cable. Needs simpler setup, but otherwise, performance is solid.

This device has a a modest exterior but reached out further than expected and pulled in 4G signals more strongly than we anticipated.

Plug it in and insert the SIM card and it will automatically correct to the correct network, better than the old model as you had to enter the APN for the network before it would connect
