Shopper : can you have other smoke detector brands hardwired to the same circuit? I can't afford to replace all the existing detectors at one time.ANDREW R : Not specified by the manufacturer however I don't believe that the operation of these units would be impacted by having other hardwired smoke detectors installed in the home. I'd recommend contacting the manufacturer directly to confirm.

Easy install and setup.
Easy to install and set up with the Nest App! Once one is connected the others connected seamlessly with your account. The night light feature is great for dark areas. Can mount on same outlet box as previous smoke alarm!

Nest Protect Review
Works well with the Nest Home App and the Nest thermostat. Easy to set up and install. The instructions and Nest commands were simple yet effective.

A nice piece of kit to add to the IOT house.
I have not yet had a fire, so I don't know how well it will work in that situation... but in every other way it is fantastic. It talks to my other Nest gear, it works as a nightlight during the dark hours, and it is pleasant to look at from an aesthetic standpoint.

Another top product from Nest
Most importantly this smoke detector has eliminated the "false alarms" my previous smoke detector had every time you boiled water on the stove top. The additional features of this detector put it over the top, the carbon monoxide detector, the night light feature etc.

Easy to install
Easy to install. The wireless interconnected functinon. is a great advantage, when you install them in your old house. You don't have to spend hours/ days to deal with those wires inside the walls.
