Thermostat great... install directions not so much
The thermostat is fantastic once you get it up and running. Install directions are seriously lacking, though. It produced and error message with a code, yet when we looked up the code in troubleshooting, no such code existed. We eventually had to YouTube.

Easy setup
This unit was easy to setup. It was a great replacement for our old programmable thermostat. I would definitely recommend this product.

Great upgrade
Works as advertised. Love that you look back at the history of how many times and duration that the furnace is on. Highly recommend. Ordering process was easy and delivery was quick.

The climate clock
The product meets my needs by maintaining my presets and I don't have to intervene. It is truly smart by memory and time of day. Now I don't have to stop whatever I am doing to make a thermostat adjustment. And it gives a constant temperature progression to adjust in time rather than a heavy load all at once.

I love my Nest Thermostat!!! I will never go back and wish I hadn't of waited so long to get it. I was hesitant because of the cost, but after having it for over a year...it was so worth the money!!!

Excellent hardware, software needs a tweak
Excellent device, packaging and installation process! Only update would be to the functionality of the software to allow a time period at a given temp, then revert to the previous. Helpful to warm up or cool down the house for specific activities, and not include it in the history or learning features.

Nest thermostat
The thermostat was very easy to install and connect to our wifi. The settings are a bit sensitive with regards to touch but im happy with it.

Overheats Radiant Heated Floors - Average Performance
Our new radiant heat floors came with simple thermostats that would overshoot the target temperature. Meaning by the time the air was at 70 degrees to turn off the thermostat, the floor was hot enough to keep the temperature rising to 75 degrees. So I was excited to buy these Nests (4 of them believing they would be able to predict the overshoot and turn off the heat before it actually hit the target temperature. The verdict: it did help but it still overshoots by 2-3 degrees. So not as bad but for what I invested in these, it's going to be a very long time before they pay for themselves.

This is amazing, every week as it learns about our household temps, you can see you are saving money. It will pay for itself during the 1st 6 months or less. Told my wife for over a year, "Trust me you will like this better than sliced bread" And yes she does, changes the temp on her tablet from the bed. The nest learns fast. I just love it, simple to install (well you might need a C wire) if your HVAC doesnt have. The add on i purchased also only took a few minutes to install. Come visit me and you will see how it works

Not as intuitive I hoped
I bought the Nest for my new house. I used to have an Ecobee3. I was hoping the Nest would be as intuitive to use. It's not. The app requires knowing your location at all times. The scheduling portion of the app is not the most user friendly interface. If I had a choice between Nest and Ecobee - I would choose Ecobee
