NewTek Tricaster 850 Extreme Full Unit

The NewTek TriCaster TCxD850 Unit (Full) is a 4U rack mount, 24-channel, 1080p native switcher system that allows you to produce HD videos and is suitable for desktop as well as portable live production. With the ability to simultaneously broadcast in resolutions upto 1080p, live stream with resolution as high as 720p and project, the tricaster uses 32-bit floating point with 4:4:4:4 video processing and records HD/SD videos in resolutions up to 1080p simultaneously at the touch of a button.

Featured IsoCorder technology allows you to use up to 8 channels to capture video and supports multi-format recording (QuickTime, MPG, AVI and full MP4) with adjustable audio headroom. Offering support for Up to 8 cameras, the TCxD850 supports 4 channels of AES digital audio or balanced XLR analog audio per camera with SDI embedded audio support for each camera connected through HD-SDI or SD-SDI inputs.

The tricaster supports a variety of input formats that include HD-SDI, HD component, SD-SDI, SD component, Y/C and composite. A built-in 50 hours of recording capacity is integrated into the TriCaster that can be extended for unlimited storage using 4 removable drive bays. Also included are 8 virtual/mix channels with presets and individual overlays that let you create and save complex switcher effects and assign them to a single source for easy access and use.

Equipped with 5 digital media players (2 DDRs, titles bin, stills store and sound player), the TCxD850 allows presentation of video clips, motion graphics, titles, images, music, audio clips, etc. during live production. Two downstream keys are also provided with independent effects for keying, positioning, scaling, cropping and rotating images in 3D. Overlay can be customized via animated effects. Also included are 18 HD live virtual sets based on the NewTek LiveSet technology and advanced matte generation capabilities that enable you to simulate a sophisticated studio setting irrespective of space constraints.

Featuring multi-view monitoring options that allows you to simultaneously view all switcher inputs at full field rate, view color Waveform and Vectorscope displays to verify signal integrity, the TriCaster also includes 2 network inputs that deliver external computer sources to the switcher or overlay channels enabling access to unlimited displays from a PC or Mac and/or titles and graphics from NewTek LiveText. You are also provided with audio mixing capabilities and auxiliary routing that offer you the option of integrating an external audio setup.

HDMI, DVI and VGA format video outputs option allow you to use a projector (IMAG) or other monitoring applications to display videos. The TCxD850 incorporates a versatile 4U rack mount form factor with redundant power supplies and rubber feet that render it suitable for desktops as well as live production requirements.
