Great small travel pack

Great for a day hike, or around town. Small and fits a camera and a few lenses, and has pockets galore. The only down side is the bottom part of the pack is the camera area and it flips up to access, not down.

Exellent as a travel bag

I bought it to replace a Tamrac 3380 Aero 80 Photo/Laptop Backpack whose laptop compartment zipper failed, which is no longer available. I don't push NG bag's capacity: Nikon D7200 w Nikon 24/120 f/4 zoom attached, a Nikon DX 35mm f/1.8 and the usual accessories: charger, cleaning supplies, and all the usual adapters and cords for foreign travel. For electronics, a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013) and medium size iPad with charger and mouse. It fits under an airline seat just fine.

Comfortable and practical

The bag has very comfortable spacing of the straps, very convenient pockets, and the perfect size for a compact travel setup, or every day use! Very happy with this bag

I was very surprised at how well the camera bag fitted to my needs. I believe i have a bag for life.

I like the way i am able to use the bag for my laptop and camera and still have room for my accessories.

Total sleeper.

I hate "standard" camera bags because they are a beacon to criminals: expensive gear lies within! I love this bag because it is not obviously a camera bag, and blends in much better.

Very Pleased

I wanted something subdued and slim as opposed to bulky, and I was not disappointed. This pack is casual and roomy with a great space for basic equipment.

perfect for carrying your camera, a few lenses, and everything else you need

I have been looking for a bag that will hold my DSLR camera (5DIII with a 50mm 1.2 semi-permanently on), a lens or two, plus my laptop, books, and my noise-cancelling headphones, as those are my essentials for leaving the house. This bag can swallow all of the above in a very neat fashion, and it gets bonus points for having a relatively small form (I had a really bulky backpack before that held just as about the same amount of stuff). Higherly recommended for pros and amateurs alike. A word of caution, do take the extra care of making sure that the camera compartment is zipped before you lift the backpack. I was careless when I first received the bag, and the camera fell out and left a dent on the floor. I wish they designed the camera comparment opening so that the flappy cover bit is goes downward when zipping instead of up, but it shouldn't be a problem if you are careful to check.

Love it

It's functional, doesn't scream"hey there's lots of $$ in this bag", not ultra masculine (like most camera bags) my only complaint would be that lack of customization in the lower portion of the bag. Luckily I have extra inserts from other bags so I use some of those to change up the configuration. Overall I love this bag though I can fit my Nikon d750 with lens attached, 2 extra lenses, and my flash unit all in the bottom part leaving entire top open for all the smaller gear.

The National Geographic Africa NG A5250 Small Rucksack / Shoulder Bag will carry all your essentials, keeping your pro gear, as well as a laptop, safe and secure and allowing ample room for personal effects. Multiple inside organizer pockets keep all your personal accessories neatly within the bag. The rear padded compartment will hold a laptop (15.4in) or less. Two side pouches can be used to support a tripod or water bottle. This design lets you carry the bag as either as rucksack or shoulder bag by connecting the left shoulder strap differently. Two outer easy-access pockets allow you to keep the accessories you want close at hand.
