The pad helped to release the pressure on my shoulder.
The pad is convenient to install, wide , and help to distribute the weight on the shoulder.

Great replacement for your less than ideal pad
I recently purchased a canvas messenger camera bag and after a few hours carrying two DSLR's in the bag, I was on a search to replace the poorly designed stock shoulder pad. Here's what I found with the National Geographic Earth Pad.
It's well padded, cool and comfortable to wear for hours at a time.
It fits straps up to about 2.5" inches wide and does a good job of staying where you place it , even on my canvas strap it tents not to slip much. I could see using this on other types of bags and to boost the comfort of backpacks and book bags.
It's very reasonably priced and easy to install with a wide, strong Velcro closure system.
Canvas outside, hand washable should you need to. The pad is made in China but the stitching is well done and looks like it will last.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to other people who are looking for more comfortable replacement for poor or worn out shoulder pads.

Shoulder Pad fits Camera Strap
I bought the Nat Geo Shoulder Pad for my Nikon Camera strap. It fits great, and takes a load off of my neck. The only thing I didn't like, was that since the Pad is velcro wrapped around my strap, the assembly can move along the strap. So I simply dropped a couple stitches with needle & thread to secure it. The Pad is now PERFECT and I only wish I had found it years ago.

The second one I bought
Like it says, this is the second one of these I've purchased. The first one did so well on my 25 pound plus camera bag I decided to get one for the 10 pound camera as well. Since the price is so low, no problem.
