Jai g : I have an Olympus EPL-1 camera and wondering if this will work wireless in RC mode.for off camera shooting in TTL? thanksJai g : thanks for the reply.JOHN W : Yes it will, it is capable of acting as a remote flash, when set for this operation any normal flash will trigger the Nissin to flash so you can easily set up a shot that needs fill from an angle etc. I can't say enough good about this flash, it was way better than my expectations.Jai g : Thank you for the reply. cheersSTEVE B : No, it does not do wireless TTL.
VERNON L : Will this flash work with the Panasonic FZ200?ELLIOT C : I don't know. Call Nissin and get thir tech department to anser it for you. I use the Nissin on a Pan G5 and it orks great.THOMAS W : The box says this will work on 4/3rds cameras and the Panasonic fz200 is not a 4/3rds camera. I would not expect this flash to work.QUANG L : I don't know, but it works with my Pana Lumix LX-5.CHAN F : Yes. I have the flash. It works with the Lumix FZ200 and the Lumix LX7. I have both cameras and they share the same flash.JAMES T : Sorry, I don't know. Works ok with the 150.
Shopper : I am assuming that this flash will work as a dedicated flash with the Lumix 5. Is this correct?DINH T : It will work as a dedicated flash in TTL mode or Manual and works great in Slave modesANDREW R : Do you mean the Lumix DMC-LX5? Nissin indicates that this unit is compatible with the DMC-LX5.

Powerful Flash for 4/3 Olympus

Provides plenty of light, Big difference from the small flah provided with the Flash, affordable only thing missing is being able to bounce in the vertical direction. Great addition to Olympus PEN.

The flash is designed for 4/3rds format cameras

The flash is designed for 4/3rds format cameras. It has a guide number of 33 at 105mm (ISO 100). It has a power zoom from 12mm to 53mm. It takes 4AA batteries and alledgely recycles in 3.8 seconds. Using Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries it recycles instantly. The documentation is a small card with very small print. The 2 year warranty is administered by Minox USA. It did not work properly with my Olympus E510, but perfectly with the E-P3. As a alave it works with practically any camera that has a flash. The flash has automatic TTL, manual, and slave 1 or 2. The flash has a built-in diffuser and white reflector. Because of its fliminess do not use the white reflector without the diffuser. The bounce head only rotates upwards not side to side.

Excellent Alternative to Canon 430ex II

I purchased the Di466 as a fourth flash to fire as a slave for wedding receptions, so I have 3 flashes on stands. What surprised me is that the Di466 will fire with the Canon 430EX acting as master. (The 430EX's on the other hand will only slave fire with a 580EX as master.) So if you want multiple flashes and don't want to spend another $450 for the 580EX II as a controller, grab a couple Di466's and a 430EX, or even the Di622. Also, I notice absolutely no difference in flash strength between the Canon 430EX II and the Nissin Di466. A minor drawback is that the flash head has limited rotation. But that's not a problem when it's on a stand. The pull-out reflecting card is also a bit too small. Overall, a great flash for the price.

Works with e-TTL, nice canon flash

Tested on Digital Rebel-XT, G7, G10. All worked fine w/ camera controlled flash exposure adjustments. Worked fine on Canon EOS-3 and EOS-1V Film Cameras. It even worked on Pentax K1000 in manual mode. No wireless e-TTL control. I got this for an add-on flash for a G-10 and it doesn't dissapoint. Smaller than regular flash, its a good size for the rangefinder-size G10. Generally, it works well and in e-TTL mode seems to recycle quickly. However @ Full-Flash in Manual mode recycle time starts to slow. Slave works, focus-assist and manual adjustments are good. One thing that is strange about this flash is when I hand-hold it tethered to a camera via e-TTL cord, the flash needs to be held in the upright vertical position to fire at designated flash exposure. If you hold flash upside down or less than 90º on its side, the flash becomes extremely weak - which is odd. However, generally, a good small inexpensive flash for canon cameras. I feel the construction will require some babying, but so far I like this flash. It's very versatile. Mr.Adai has pic on flickr -[@]
