When collapsed, the 19 inch Nissin LS-50C Light Stand can fit in any carry-on luggage piece and in almost any gear bag. Although this stand is small and compact, when extended, it reaches a total length of 79 inches.

One of the legs can be adjusted to adapt to uneven ground. For further stability, a weight such as a sand bag (or even a water bottle on a string) can be hung over the largest of the tightening knobs for the legs. For even greater stability, the legs can be completely flattened.
