About Nissin MG10
Under the umbrella of advanced photography equipment, the MG10 Wireless Flash with Air 10s Commander for Sony stands out as a high-quality, durable, and innovative tool. This compact and user-friendly device is designed to enhance your photography experience, particularly when paired with Sony cameras.
The MG10 Wireless Flash is powered by the Nissin Air System (NAS), a newly developed 2.4GHz radio transmission wireless flash system that has earned FCC and other international technical standards certification. Unlike traditional optical wireless transmitters, the 2.4GHz radio transmission is less susceptible to angle and obstacle limitations, offering signal coverage up to 100 meters.
To prevent misfiring due to signal interference, transmission channels and radio transmission IDs can be customized. The Nissin Commander Air 10s can control up to 4 groups of Nissin Flash Di700A, i60A, or Nissin Receiver Air R, offering a user-friendly operation panel and a variety of functions for increased convenience.
The MG10 Wireless Flash features a patented design with a magnetically contacted motorized zoom head. This removable external motorized zoom allows the MG10 to zoom from 24 - 200mm and 18mm with a diffuser. It also offers manual and auto synchronization of lens focal length via Air 10s.
The device boasts a fast recycling time with full power. When powered by two Li-ion batteries with PS 8, type 26650, the recycling time is a mere 1.5 seconds. With two Li-ion batteries, the recycle time is approximately 2.8 seconds, and with eight AA batteries, it's around 3.5 seconds.
The MG10 also features a high power modelling light (LED), perfect for studio usage. Its "open mode" allows multiple Air10s units to pair with the same group of MG10 strobes, eliminating the need to re-pair devices. This feature allows multiple cameras and commanders to share the same group of NAS strobes (MG10), providing independent control of up to 8 groups via Air 10s.
For sustainable performance, the MG10 is equipped with a Micro SD card slot, enabling easy updates by the user. This feature is part of Nissin's plan to include a Micro SD card slot on all future strobes and commanders.
