I bought this strap specifically because it was made to commemorate the centennial. I have been using Nikon gear (photography and sports optics) for decades and I wanted something from the 100th year collection. This strap was the perfect item; limited run, nicely made and not too expensive. Well done, Nikon. I have the brown one, for which I cannot write a review because it supposedly has not shipped yet even though I've had mine for several months now. It is extremely nice and the logo is subdued albeit readily visible. When I decide to use it, I will attach it to my next Nikon camera. I am not recommending this product because I don't want too many of them in circulation and they won't be made any more, or so I hope.

Camera bag is great, but the camera strap is not what I would have expected from Nikon for their 100 anniversary. No cushion on the neck portion, very stiff leather, with a warning that the logos are subject to fading

This is a beautiful strap. If you appreciate a bit of luxury, this is the perfect strap. For the reviewer that thinks this is a waste and money would be better spent on something else, I offer this comparison to leather gloves -- you can get cheap ones that will work just fine or you can spend a bit of cash and get a nice pair of leather gloves that you love but do not keep your hands any warmer. Sometime it is worth just buying something nice. I'm using the strap on my D750.

I was looking for discreet & good looking straps and I bought both black and brown versions. I like them, well made and good material but holds about only 6.6 pounds so for street and travel light weight gears only.

Why would anyone pay $100 for a strap that is nothing more than a centennial advertisement? Shouldn't Nikon present this strap - FREE - to all of their customers as a token for their loyalty in helping make the century mark for this company possible? This is something that will more than likely end up in forgotten drawer someplace in your home and found years later by your great grandkids questioning the significance of such an item. A better use, in my opinion, would be to take that $100 towards the purchase of a needed lens or photo trip. For me, this is a no brainer.
