The binoculars are perfect for plane spotting. The only slight complaint is the weight. Specification says 2.71 lbs but they become quite heavy after a few minutes. Feels much heavier than 2.71 lbs. The stabilization is amazing.

Bought these to use on a eclipse trip years ago. They are a bit heavy, but work so very well. Re battery problem. Don't leave batteries in them for long periods.

We hunt in western Colorado and Wyoming, among other uses. There is one word for this product- totally cool- oh, that is two words because they are that good. Perfect, crisp optics, easy adjustment and the ability to pick out items easily missed with other units. Stabilization enables rapid observation of an area, allowing certainty of what is there to be seen. They are fairly large and heavy, so only appropriate for truck or a pack if you choose to carry them. I suspect the complaint in another review that the battery compartment corroded resulted from leaving the batteries in the compartment. The factory Toshiba batteries had leaked and corroded in the unopened package- never installed. I suggest using a good brand of battery, and removing them upon extended storage- per the instuctions provided. I love this product.

Fantastic optical stability system. Both on land where it precisely controls hand held jitter, and at sea where it controls jitter and a separate system compensates for vessel motion.

It's a Nikon, and lives up to their reputation for ease of use, ruggedness, and clear bright images. Stability system provides rock steady images on land AND at sea! I used it, at sea, in Alaska. It compensated for boat motion and hand motion. Highly recommended.

The Nikon 16x32 StabilEyes image stabilized binocular puts rock-steady high power, waterproof/fogproof optics into the hands of the hunter, instead of on a tripod. To achieve its incredible image stabilization, Nikon uses a servo control system with the prisms supported by gimbals utilizing +/- 3-degree angleof compensation to provide a view that is unaffected by either shake or vibration
Staying true to Nikon's tradition of utilizing only the finest glass available in its optical products, the 16x32 StabilEyes features precisely cut and polished lenses and prisms. Each of the glass lens elements is carefully coated with multiple layers of anti-reflective compounds for true color rendition, superior detail resolution and maximum light transmission. Additionally, prisms are phase-correction coated in order to achieve the ultimate in sharpness and clarity
At just 39.5 ounces without batteries and a comparatively compact 7.0"x5.6"x3.1", the 16x32 StabilEyes truly provides the power and benefits of both a binocular and a spotting scope in a single unit. It is powered by a pair of AA batteries, included As a central focus design, the StabilEyes includes an adjustable diopter for correcting right/left eye vision imbalance. The binocular offers 15mm of eyerelief, which enables viewing with or without eyewear. And with an apparent angle of view of 60.8 degrees, and a 198' field of view at 1,000 yards, the Stabileyes stands up to a wide variety of viewing tasks
