Great fixed lens that's good in a variety of conditions both indoor and out in well-lit and low-light situations.

Lens as noted. Shipping took forever due to probably covid 19 issues with China.

I couldn't be happier with the condition of the lens. The description said refurbished but there are no indications of anything being reconditioned or refurbished. It is my first prime lens and I love it it's tac sharp and focuses quickly, thank you

It does exactly what I expected it to - sharp, colorful pictures that pop. Well worth the modest investment as a refurb, it just works.

If I didn't know that this was refurbished, I would think I bought a brand new lens. Crystal clear, great portrait lens for a crop-sensor camera. I haven't taken it off my camera yet

This lens is an absolute must for any arsenal! Theres absolutely nothing you CANT do with it. It creates very sharp, clear images and adapts well to any situation. Purchased 2 weeks ago and have yet to swap lenses due to its immense quality, and overall usefulness. For under 200 bucks, you're crazy to let this one pass.

This is THE must have lens for a crop sensor DSLR. If you have to choose, buy this one before the 50mm 1.8 great in low light. So glad I finally bought it!

This lens is perfect for my needs. I bought it to use for an indoors martial arts event where the light is kind of iffy, and stop-action is a must. It really did what I needed, and the photos only required some mild editing, such as brightening the shadows (their clothes were black and really blended). If I were more skilled I might have been able to clear up the shadows better on the original shots. When editing, I was able to crop down to individuals without losing quality. I'm quite happy with my purchase.

Got this in today and tested for my son's DX camera and love it! The color and clarity this lens renders with is stellar for the price point. I got it on sale and saved $30.00 which is icing on the cake. My son will really enjoy this on Christmas day. I do have to say, I am a bit disappointed in most lens builds these days and don't like all the outward plastic. But, at the same time, the DX kit lens with my son's D3100 is about 8 years old, with a plastic mount and is still in perfect working order. Go Nikon! I am about to add the 24mm f 1.8G ED and the 85mm f1.8G lenses to my full frame kit, and the worries about plastic barrels have been holding me up. Those are a bit pricier than this 35mm f1.8G. I have finally decided that if Ford motor company can put a plastic manifold intake on my V8 engine and it still runs 13 years later, I'll probably get my money's worth out of the nicer Nikkor lenses. One thing I am sure of is that Nikkor glass renders beautifully.

Bought this to complement a stock lens (18-140 mm) for my 5300, but returned it 2 days later after multiple shots with both lenses to compare: Pros: - compact - nice bokeh Cons: - not sharp (landscapes are less sharp than with my 18-140 lens with different shutter and aperture settings); - poor performance in low light even at max open aperture (again sharpness) - some focus problems (not sure what was going on, but had more blurred images) - no VR I guess, the low light performance depends not only on max aperture ratio, but also on lens diameter which is much less here compared to 18-140 lens. Conclusion: if you already have 18-140 as a kit, you don't need this lens as it less sharp. If you want a blurred background for portraits - just zoom in and step back. And don't forget that this 35 mm is like 50mm for DX cameras, so not everything will fit if you shoot landscapes.

I bought this as most sights recommended the 35mm for a walk around lens. I already have the 50mm and did compare the view with both. Both seem to have their place. I took some sample shots, in very low light, and the pictures were great. Now I know why they use these low apertures for low light. Thank God the price was right. I would highly recommend this lens, even refurbished as I bought it.

This is a great lens at a great price! Although it was a refurbished model it was just like new. I would definitely buy from Adorama again.

Just took a few shots with it. What a difference a prime is vs even a good Nikon zoom. Clarity is outstanding. With D7200 focuses quickly and cannot detect lag when I press shutter. Very fast. A keeper for sure. VG service and pricing from Adorama.

I wanted a low-price refurbished low-light lens. The low-light is generally good and the refurbished price is very good. The quality is great, just like new! Also, being 35mm makes it a good wide-angle lens for a prime lens. JPK

I've used this product for quite a time. At first glance, the fit and finish looks good, light, easy to handle. The SWM is a great addition for users of all entry level camera bodies, AF speed is acceptable and MF override is possible. Image quality wise, TREMEDOUS, it goes beyond my expectation even at widest aperture (though contrast dropped just a little), sharpness is great at the center, the corner is not bad, then everywhere looked tack-sharp just around F2.8 - 4. Background blur is a ...

Clareza e nitidez

AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G lens, is the first fixed focal length, fast-aperture DX-format lens that affords photographers superb image quality along with the creative possibilities and versatility of the classic 50mm focal length (FX-format equivalent of 52mm). When mounted on a DX-format camera body, it enables photographers to document their world with a lens that produces a picture angle similar to the field of vision as seen through the human eye. Whether new to D-SLRs or a seasoned enthusiast, users will appreciate the extreme low-light performance and the expanded ability to dramatically separate the subject and background with the new 35mm DX lens' wide f/1.8 aperture.
Lightweight, compact and affordable, this lens can easily become a fast favorite for any level of photographer, and is the perfect complement to D60 users who are just starting to learn D-SLR photography or enthusiasts who love their D90. The AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G lens is ideal for travel, general photography, landscape shooting, portraiture or pushing creative boundaries. The stunning sharpness, clarity and color reproduction are all proof positive of more than 75 years of NIKKOR heritage and experience in optics engineering.
This lens continues the tradition of NIKKOR precision optics to provide photographers with sharp, high-resolution images and the ability to focus as close as 0.98 feet, while the integration of an ultra-compact Silent Wave Motor ensures fast, whisper-quiet AF operation.
The 35mm DX lens construction consists of eight elements in six groups, with one aspherical lens to reduce size and weight, while contributing to the enhanced balance when mounted on a smaller DX-format D-SLR. A rounded diaphragm opening combined with the seven-blade aperture contributes to a substantially more circular bokeh for a more natural appearance of out-of-focus background elements. Additionally, instances of lens flare and chromatic aberration are suppressed using Nikon's exclusive Super Integrated Coatings, which also help ensure vividly accurate color balance.
