Light, sharp lens for my Nikon F100. Autofocus works well too, what's not to love?

This is a great lens. Many photographers recommend a ?nifty fifty? for a lens kit and I am so glad I added to my collection! The price is reasonable and the extras that came with it made it a bargain. I would definitely recommend it to others!

I needed a prime lens to take photos with out flash in low light conditions. did not want to spend a lot of money. ( saving up for that nikkor 200-500mm ) did a test shot of a humming bird not bad . the lens will do what I want it for. good value.

I love the lens. Very comfortable and convenient to use and it works well. I ordered a new lens, but the box looks like it was a used one and no guarantee or instruction brochure were included.

I originally bought this when I had a D850 on order, but some things changed and I'm currently using a Z7 with an FTZ. While the AF doesn't work, it works amazing with focus peaking. This is an amazing cheap lens for anyone looking for a cheap 50mm, or looking to replace the 18-55 kit lenses that this will far surpass!

When I was deciding which camera to get for a beginner, the one thing I kept reading over and over was to get a nifty fifty lens. Which is what this lens is called by those who have been shooting for a long time. It takes great pictures up close and very clear ones at that. I have a friend who films a lot of the interviews for the NBA. He was so impressed by what this lens could do he know wants one for his personal Canon camera. He wanted to change over his canon for a Nikon because of this lens. I told him he didn't need to as they are made for Canon's also. I love this lens and most times it's on my camera. I am to knew to give all the technical aspects, but I can tell you this I haven't received a bad picture yet. Highly recommend this nifty fifty.

Low cost lens, light and small, great optics. Just the way camera lenses used to be before zooms.

I've had this lens since I originally got a Nikon F5 years ago. Can feel a little cheap/plastic especially when using it with a d800 or d810 but the lens is super sharp and has 0 distortion. One of the best fixed lenses Nikon has ever made for an amazing price.

Great lens for the price! I am only a beginner and hobby photographer but it fit perfectly on my d3400 and I've been able to get some great shots with it. The open aperture lets in tons of light for darker shots and also allows for an excellent bokeh effect.

Can’t comment on the lens because I bought the wrong one! Customer service was the best. We arranged for an easy return and credit refund. Then they recommended the correct lens and then took care of the purchase. No hassles, no frustrations...Everyone was professional and we even had some fun. I feel I purchased a quality product for a fair price.

I love this little nifty 50. Much better quality photos and low light capability than the kit lens. I love the small size too. It streamlines the size and weight of the D7200 making it much more comfortable to walk around with. This is a nice portrait lens for the DX format. I alternate between this and the 35mm prime for most of my shots.

Super sharp for an inexpensive lens. Used this lens or three years for print newspaper.

The image quality on my D750 is great. The auto focus isn't the fastest and it is a bit noisy, but for the price, it is an awesome lens. I have so far only used it indoors for pictures of my newborn son. F1.8 is not very sharp, but definitely usable.

This lens rocks for the money! I'm not a pro photographer, but I worked in a camera store for two years during college, and studied a year of 35mm/4x5 view camera photography while attending college for my art degree. It is really hard to fault the Nikon 50mm f/1.8D. On my D610, the pictures are really, really sharp, and the colors are vibrant. Auto focus is fast and accurate. If you use something nicer like a D810, it should still work very well. If I owned a D850, then I might consider something with a little more resolve power, but this lens would still be a great backup.

This lens is the perfect portrait lens for indoor and outdoor use. 50mm Focal Length 50mm on an APS-C sensor translates to 75mm on a full frame. What this means for indoor people photography is that for capturing faces and expressions of one or two people, this lens is great. If you need to capture more of a subjects' body/clothing or 3-8 people, a 30mm - 35mm lens would be more suitable. f/1.8 - f/22 Aperture f/1.8 is a very fast lens. Nikon makes an f/1.4 50mm as well, but I recommen...

Sick Bokeh-

The optics are amazing on this glass. You cannot do better- especially for the price. I thought it quite fast for a 50 mm as well, something I've found a bit tricky.
While capturing the essence of professional photography, the 50mm f/1.8D AF NIKKOR Lens stands out as a high-quality, durable choice for both amateur and seasoned photographers. This lens is renowned for its wide f/1.8 aperture, which not only allows for a beautifully shallow depth of field but also excels in low-light conditions, making it an indispensable tool for a variety of shooting scenarios.
Crafted with versatility in mind, this standard prime lens is ideal for a range of photographic pursuits, including travel, portraiture, and general photography. Its 50mm focal length is considered the standard "nifty fifty" that mimics the natural perspective of the human eye, offering a view that is neither too wide nor too telephoto - a perfect balance for capturing life's moments with clarity and precision.
The innovative design of this lens ensures reliable performance and sharp, crisp images. The fast autofocus (AF) system is responsive and accurate, although it is important to note that AF is not supported by certain Nikon cameras such as the D40, D60, D3100, D3000, and D5000 series. However, even for those cameras, manual focusing is smooth and intuitive, allowing for precise control over your compositions.
This bundle enhances the lens's functionality with the inclusion of a ProOptic 52mm UV Filter, which protects the lens from dust and scratches while also reducing haze and improving clarity. The Lens Cap Tether ensures that your lens cap is never misplaced, and the Lens Cleaning Kit keeps your lens in pristine condition for consistently high-quality images.
The 50mm f/1.8D AF NIKKOR Lens is a testament to Nikon's commitment to innovative, reliable, and high-quality optics. Its compact size makes it an excellent companion for photographers on the go, ensuring that you're always ready to capture those spontaneous, once-in-a-lifetime shots with ease and confidence. Whether you're a hobbyist looking to step up your photography game or a professional in need of a dependable prime lens, this bundle offers exceptional value and performance.
