Add multi-coating to a budget lens
I bought this to serve as the "front element" for my new NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 lens since the lens lacks any type of coating. I bought the lens when it was on sale so it was a no-brainer adding the filter just to make it easier to clean. I made sure I had the filter on the lens before testing it just to avoid any dust. The filter fits perfectly and doesn't add much bulk or weight.

Gets stuck on lenses and on hoods.
I have never, not once, EVER had a B+W filter get stuck on a lens nor a screw-in hood. But this one gets stuck all the time. I literally cannot get it off of a hood at the present moment. i use clear filters on every single lens and I'm a full-time photographer - I can say definitively that this is not machined to the tolerances that B+W filters are. I haven't tried other brands so can't speak for them. optical performance seems fine but I feel like that is the bare minimum for a clear filter.

A Superb clear protective filter!
The Nikon 95mm NC Neutral Clear Filter was purchased for the Nikkor Z 180-600 f/5.6-6.3 telephoto zoom lens. The filter easily screws onto the filter threads, and performs exactly as described. The image quality, i.e, sharpness and detail obtained is superb, as the filter has no negative effect on the image. I highly recommend the Nikon 95mm NC Neutral Clear Filter.

Worth the investment - Nikon 82mm NC Neutral Clear Filter
Great quality genuine Nikon OEM product. So far so good for lens glass protection. No degradation of image quality. Would recommend as good value for cost. A someone new to Nikon, I typically purchase 1st party accessories when available. This purchase was no exception and no regrets.

Nikon 77mm filter
I wanted to put Nikon glass on my Nikon lens. It was shipped very quickly and was installed on my new lens. The filter fit perfectly and will be used as my first line of defense for the expensive lens. Glass on filter was clear and pure with no distortion.

Keep the Front Element Free From Scratches
As always Nikon's clear filter is as advertised...clear. I do lots of sports photography and sometimes I have to wipe grime from the front element and don't always have a perfectly clean microfiber cloth. With this filter, I can use my shirt of whatever and not have to worry about scratching the front element and being without it while Nikon repairs it.

Great for lens protection.
I use this clear filter to protect my lens, especially while mountain biking. I already broke one in a mountain bike crash, and it was a lot cheaper to replace this filter, compared to a replacing a Nikon lens.

Great for protection.
This is my protection for 500mm lens. It is great to have as protection, as I already broke another clear filter for a 70-300mm when I crashed my mountain bike. I highly recommend one for all expensive lenses, especially if you ride too fast for trail conditions.

Another Great Nikon Filter
As with all Nikon filters I have bought over the years the quality was Excellant and it fit on my lens with no problem. I can?t say that with most of the off brand filters I have also bought i the past. You can always count on Nikon filters as working and fitting as they should.

Pricey But Excellent Lens Protector
Use these for lens protectors since they have zero effect on images. The are a bit expensive but are durable with good threads and just get moved from lens to lens making a worthwhile investment.

Solid lens protection,
Nikon 72mm NC Neutral Clear Filter does a great job protecting my Nikon Z 24mm lens. It would be a shame to damage a lens when protection is available at a good price. Shipped fast too! Best of all it does NOT change image quality.

Excellent protection
They do as claimed. I use one on all of my lens. I shoot in environments where I deal with a lot of mud, dirt, dust and water spray and have found these filters to work great as a sacrificial lens.
