Shopper : are these filters multi-coated for anti reflection ?GARNETT W : I do not know about the antireflective part. In my experience with these types of filters I have been able to use the circular polarizer to remove some reflections I have observed on glass when it forms part of the picture image. You may be able to check and get a more complete specification at www.nikon.usa. Look for accessories and/or filters after you enter DSLR camera area.ERNEST M : Yes they are coated. In fact, they are coated on both sides.JUSTIN C : Yes they are, and they're quite good! The coating does make them difficult to clean. I recommend a very clean microfiber cloth and that you avoid spray lens cleaners as long as you can...they're just as annoying to clean as a front element in a lens. I would also mention that the circular polarizing filter is in two parts, and i've discovered it will come apart in extreme cold, where the inner copper gasket contracts and falls apart. Several times now I've had this happen.DAVID M : Yes. One advantage to spending a bit more to buy Nikon is that you can sure of that.RICHARD B : Nikon says that they are and I used them in Alaska over ice and water and did not have any reflection problems. I have had reflection problems on other smaller filters however and they were Nikon filters as well. These particular ones performed well however.JAMES B : These are high quality Nikon filters. The polarizing filter is great; I can keep the lens hood and/or cap on, unlike an older 52mm filter I have. They are both great filters. I always go for Nikon filters; consider the extra cost worth while and have never been disappointed.

Excellent filters, but somewhat delicate

I really love these filters, they are astonishingly clear. So clear, in fact, that if you have one which is perfectly clean, and you look directly through the filter, you usually can't even see the glass! Be warned, however: these are a royal pain to clear. I recommend a very clean microfiber cloth, and avoid lens cleaner. You will never get all the solution off the lens. The Circular Polarizer II has an assembly weakness in my sample; if I'm outside in extreme cold, say -10º F, the inner copper gasket/ring which holds the CPII together contracts and the whole assembly falls apart. I've had this happen a few times now.

Great filter set for great lenses

Great quality, thin profile circular polarizer. Does exactly what it says, polarizes the light, and definitely appears to be much brighter than my previous Hoya circular polarizer. The UV filter is basically for lens protection, but it is multicoated and seems to have no negative effect on image quality. Bought these to go with my Nikon 24-70 2.8, needed a UV for it, and figured I'd get Nikon's polarizer since it's a thin profile and supposedly top notch quality. Simple items that are very high quality and do exactly what they say they do. Plus buying in this bundle saves a few bucks. Also a nice bundle since for me these are basically the two filters I use the most and I'm not paying for any warming/softening/colored filters that I generally won't bother using with digital.
