Questions & Answers

Shopper : Can you see animals at night with them?CLAIRE E T : The larger 25 end gathers enough light for dawn and dusk viewing. The 8 is the magnification and is a good number for hand held use. I use them for looking at the moon and stars for clearer views. I have used them during night safari inSouth Africa when a spotting light is shined on an animal and these are good. I use them on birding outings everywhere and at dawn and dusk. For any binoculars some light must be present to view things. Otherwise night vision specialized items are required. These binoculars can be worn on your belt and taken everywhere when traveling. I have a larger fancier pair that I use on dedicated birding outings but generally not when traveling. These go with me on all trips. I use them to view details of building as well. You can only use the binoculars that you actually have with you and these are very functional and easy to carry so are usually with me and ready when opportunity arises.BOB A K : These binoculars don't have night vision. They will help seemingly brighten up whatever you're viewing and bring it into sharper focus but not in total darkness. Maybe a little at dawn and dusk. Best during the day.JOHN M : They aren't night vision goggles. Only if there is enough ambient light or light from another source.BRYCE N : No, you can't see animals at night with these binoculars. They are, however excellent during the day and some low light situations. They are very light and compact.
PAULA H : I am trying to decide between the 8x25 or the 10x 25. I want them for football and concerts. Can you help me make a decision?WILLIAM W : I own both of these binocs. I bought the 10x25s while on a hiking trip to Glacier Park because I forgot to pack the other pair. Both are satisfactory for hiking and birding. For football and concerts, I would lean towards the 10x25s because they have a little more reach, although the image from the 8x25s is a bit brighter and gives you a wider field of vision.GARY P : I have both models and use them for sports and concerts. I prefer the 10 x 25. They provide more power and clarity with minimal change in field of view.JONATHAN T : There's a tradeoff between range and stability; the longer the range, the greater the effect of any slight hand movement. In other words, while the 10x25 will give you a bit more range, the image will tend to be more shaky than if you were holding the 8x25. I have the 10x25s myself, but I find I tend to use my wife's 8x25s more often.PAMELA D : We bought the 8x25 in November 2011 for football games, and they have been great. Magnification range is good, and they have survived ours kids fighting over them and playing with them when they get bored.LARRY C : I bought mine for football games an practices and have been very happy with them. Good luck to you.JON R : I would stay with the 8 x 25 unless you have strong, steady hands. That is what I have and I am happy with them.
alan m : I bought Travelite VI. I now have water in right side. Don't see any way to clean them. Is this under warratee? Al MaharJOHN M : I have no idea. I'm just a customer like Alan M. Only Adorama or Nikon can answer warranty questions.LARRY C : No idea. Mine have been fine. I don't think they are water proof.

I love the Travelight Series Binoculars

This is my 2nd in the travelite series and and i love them both. Small and light these binoculars are great for wildlife. The 8x25 is bright and has a nice field of view. The Travelight series are small enough to carry so they get a lot more use than my big glass binoculars.

Light and Clear

Light weight, easy to fit in a jacket pocket. Also fits in glove box, purse or storage area between the seats of the car. Clear viewing. I use it to view birds, and small wild life in my yard. Also have used it for little league baseball.

Great for travel

Bought this for my husband. I have an older Travelite binocular, 10x25, that are lightweight and easy to use. This new one, 8x25, are excellent and we think better than the old ones. When looking thru the 8x25, the image is bright and clear. Very happy with the purchase.

Great binoculars

Very good optics but came with no strap, case, or lens cover. Called and asked for fulfillment of missing items and was told no longer in stock. Items are still on web site without support for item.

Replaced pair lost in fire

We are in our 80's but continue to travel here and overseas. One of our interests is birds, and this instrument is so easy to stow away and then access quickly to identify and follow antics of birds. Perfect for scoping sea and sky activity from a sailboat.

Very pleased

Lightweight, fits hands nicely and stores easily. As best I can tell optics are good. Easily focused too. Plan to take on river cruise shortly and glad I got the 8x25 rather than the narrower angle of view 10x25

Satified owner of 3 pair

We had one pair from National Geographic back in the 1990s. We have added two more pair. Though I think the newer ones are 10 x 25. Very light, easy to focus, sharp, good for narrow faces. We use them for birding.

Great Hunting Binoculars

Nikon makes a great product, and these binoculars are no exception. The 8X25 Travelite VI is perfect for hunting. These binoculars are lightweight, and very clear. Nikon's warranty is also a winner for me. You can't go wrong with this purchase.

bought for theatre, kept for utility

These are a light compact pair of binoculars which bring the performers faces into view quite nicely from the Dress Circle.

Excellent addition to our travel gear!

Great for use in the Amazon tropical rain forest. I will take it along on safari next year. It doesn't have the width of field of my camera's telephoto lens but the magnification (detail) is superior.
