As always...........Adorma delivers!! This Nikon threaded cable release is A+ quality. Takes a bit getting used to to release (have to twist the disc many, many times), but the cable is of great quality.

Triple A Rating
The AR-3 is just one more of Nikon's long list of quality products. At 12" long allows for precise and accurate operation especially in studio work. Highly recommended for it's smooth and reliable operation.

Lock doesn't work well
The only reason I bought this was for the lock, to take long exposures in bulb mode on my Mamiya 7. I don't know if there's something wrong with my sample or not, but it's very difficult to unlock. It makes precisely-timed exposures impossible. I paid extra due to the name and reviews, but a cheaper, no-name cable I bought locally works better for what I needed. I give it 2 stars rather than one because it's perfectly adequate if not using the locking capability.

Excellent cable release
This cable release very durable and a good value for the money. I have had this cable release in the past and have dropped it into a rocky stream. It never rusted, ceased to function, and the cable housing has stood up to the riggors of almost 10 years of constant use with large format equipment (yes, I am still using the first one I ever bought).
