Questions & Answers

Shopper : what is harness made of?
CHARLES L : Are these quiet enough for deer hunting?  Thanx.
Shopper : How do I attach the harness to my binoculars?CLAY W : The harness comes with clips that attach to binoculars. Very easy. I love my harness.CHARLES L : Binocular harnesses usually include a round "split-ring" that serves as the final connection between the harness and the binocular body. You can use a dull flat object ...like a butter knife to hold the ring open so you can engage the binoculars. The split ring offers a secure way to connect the two! We also use two "black cable ties" ,on each end, for the same purpose. One tight and one a little loose! If one breaks or wears through the other cable tie is a redundant backup. Easy to install! Quiet is important to a person in the field!EDWARD K : What I did was attach a couple of small (2" or so) cable ties to the binoculars. I then attached the small, metal, key-chain like ring that came with the harness (or the binoculars, I can't recall which) to the cable tie. You can then clip the harness to the metal rings. It has worked very well for over three years. I also use the cable ties to secure the rain shield to the binoculars. The cable ties should be available at Lowe's or Home Depot. I keep some with me in the field in case of breakage. Only had one tie break in three years of heavy use. Good luck!John G : I used the split-rings connectors provided with the harness and connected them to the binocular strap holder. Then I put the harness on and snapped the harness hooks into the split rings.HAROLD B : It may depend on what binocular you have, but our Nikon Monarchs had small metal rings attached to the strap anchors for the harness clips attachment. Very useful item

I haven't had a chance to use it much lately but I like how it fits. I will use it with my very heavy Canon 5D to take the pressure off my neck.

Excellent

The harness is very comfortable and adjustable. It keeps my binoculars in an easy access hands free position. There is no danger of damage to them do to a shoulder strap slipping off. Definitely worth the money.

Work great

Bought for my wife. She says they work great & keep her binoculars from flopping around. Just what she was looking for & the price was quite reasonable too.

comfortable but not as advertised

This harness is very comfortable, but was not as advertised. I ordered two; neither came with the "quick release" mechanism as shown in photo. That was corrected with another $ in parts from another supplier. Now I can interchange camera or binoculars.

Way better than a neck strap.

This pretty much does what you would expect: holds your binoculars in a much more stable and comfortable way than a neck strap. I can bring my binoculars on long hikes now without getting a sore neck, or having them flop around hitting me in the stomach all day. The only reason I put 4 stars instead of 5 is the attachment to the binoculars is via two plastic clips that attach to small keyring style rings (included). I thought they could have come up with something more professional looking. (But it works well.)

Great Buy!

Bought two, for self and spouse. Our binoculars no longer bounce and shift position on bird walks yet they are easily raised to eye-level without restriction.

Not as shown in photo

Item recieved not the same as in photo with extension straps and plastic quick release buckles. Instead it has plastic swivel snaps without the extensions. My wife has the first kind and loves them and I thought I was getting the same. Harness is still comfortable, but I am a person of girth and the binos ride a bit high on my chest. The swivel clips are a bit small and difficult to attach and unattach, but they seem sturdy and secure, just not quick like the buckle style. They work well, are comfortable and there are no problems with bringing the binos to my eyes. Only other gripe is that there is no way to secure the Nikon Monarch rear lenscaps to the strap as designed, poor cross design feature on Nikon's part.

"Quality Product"

Strap is well made and very comfortable. Only issue is the cheap plastic ties used to attach split rings to binocular strap points.
