Does the job

I have 2 of these soft cases that I use for my Nikon 16mm fisheye lens and the other for my stack of Kenko extension tubes. They are well made; the bottom has a little foam padding but the rest is made from a soft suede material with a rope like drawstring at the top. They do not provide a lot of padding but they are not designed too. I use them to keep things organized in my bag and prevent scratches.

Well made

Its a well made soft cloth lens case with a draw string and a bit of foam padding at the bottom. I use them to carry various TC's or smaller lenses so they don't bang against other gear when placed in larger general use backpacks.

Perfect for the kit lens

Bought this to store both my 50mm 1.4 and the 18-55 kit lens. Perfect fit for the kit lens, but slightly big for the 50mm lens.

Original Is Best!

There are many after-market lens pouches available for all types of lenses. If you own a Nikkor lens, why not purchase the case/pouch designed for it? Not only is it the proper fit for the lens itself, but also the lens hood! After-market pouches may not accomodate the lens hood properly. These Nikon pouches do attract dust & dirt, and cleaning with a soft brush will be required occasionally, as the velour exterior is a "dust magnet". That's a small effort to have the correct pro pouch for your lens

This is a nice soft lens case to protect your lens while in your camera bag. I was disappointed that this did not come with the D5000 and 18-55 lens kit I purchased from Nikon. Always happy with the products [...] from Adorama, however. They never disappoint.

I can't stand to not have a lens bag for a lens-these should come with all Nikon lens. Why call it a replacement? Unsupplied option?

Keeps lens dust free

I use Nikon soft lens cases for all my lens. The soft cases protect the lens from dust. They keep the lens free of dents and scratches. I have no issues with the cases. They have done a great job of protecting all my expensive Nikon lens.

High Quality and Great Value

This is a great soft lens case and it works perfectly in a nicely padded camera bag. It takes up little room even with a lens in it. The pull-string closure keeps your lens safely tucked inside while keeping foreign objects out. Just a great product with Nikon quality.
